Does anyone out there love this artist as much as I do ? She worked in very bright colours and often on a monumental scale. For the last 20+ years of her life-she died in 2002, I think- her major work was a garden in Italy containing sculptures of the 22 Major Arcana ! I'd love to go there one day-it's in Tuscany somewhere, I believe. Has anyone been? What were your impressions ?
From the books I have, I understand that some of these sculptures are big enough to LIVE IN-at least, for a while. At one point, Niki de Saint-Phalle lived within her Empress sculpture-one breast was the bedroom/sitting room, the other was the kitchen !

I just saw a book on ebay about those sculptures! I wondered about it at the time but didn't read the post about it.
