Cable guy freaked out by tarot

The cable guy came over today. My internet is connected to my cable so he saw that I was at this website. He said he was scared now that he knows I'm into "that." He said it like he was joking but he quickly left to my mothers room, to check her tv. A few minutes later he needed to come back to my room. He saw that I was playing solitare & said he could come back in since he dosn't see any tarot cards. LOL He was laughing & talking with my mother and when it was time to go he shook both of our hands. As he was leaving my mother said "She wants to give you a tarot reading. He then said maybe he shouldn't have shook my hand. He rubed the hand I shook on my arm, as if to take away my "negative" energy. On his way out he asked me not to put a spell on him. I was amused. I know he was kind of serious.

I don't know, it sounds to me as if he was totally goofing on ya :)
I've had people find out I'm Pagan, and start going "Ribbitt,Ribbitt" even thought I'm Asatruar. For accuracy's sake, they'd be better served to put on a horned helmet and sing some Wagner. :P

Why Ribbitt, Ribbitt? are they afraid of being turned into a frog?
As for the cable guy, you would be amazed at the strong reactions this stuff can cause in otherwise intelligent strangers, mainly because of the stupid stuff shown on TV! He was probably (mostly) teasing you, but some people believe that "evil" (define here for him as Tarot and magic belief) is contagious, you get it just by being near it. There isn't a lot you can do, except humor them!
