Does anyone have any advice on which tarot cards in a spread represent a message that is coming by:
1) mail
2) phone
3) computer (as in email or fax etc.)
4) face to face conversation

For a lot of people the 8 of Wands indicates email or internet news. But I think it depends on the reader as to what they feel the cards would indicate. I can see the pouch the Fool carries as potentially being the mailman, in a way. There's really no difinitive 'this card means that' for everyone.

Sometimes I see the page of whatever, as a message coming, but no concise medium as to how that message is delivered. The suit, the position in the spread, and the question, can sometimes determine what the message could be about~page of cups, a message about a relationship, Page of wands, fast breaking news, etc. I know, that's a pretty traditional explanation. But it's actually come out that way in readings I've done for people.

I had a friend tell me once that for him the Tower often means email or a phone call, or computer problems. OTOH, I see the Pages most often as messengers. But that's just me. :)

8 Wands can be any form of quick or electronic communication. I have seen 8 Wands refer to telepathy as well. There was a member here who used to heal animals with some kind of special reiki and 8 Wands came up in reading I did for here which referred to this.
Once the Page of Cups refered to someone getting a love letter! That was a beauty but have no other experiences. Sometimes this is when Tarot is at its most literal and witty.

For me 10 of Cups can show that are "seen" in screens like the movies, TV or PC monitor I think it comes from the analogy of images traveling in the air, as for a message maybe 10 of Cups combined with the 8 of Wands and/or Pages already mentioned.

Off-hand, do not recall all the instances of specific cards. Those based on regular playing cards which I used for many years prior to Tarot are so noted. Some are interchangeable & depend on the moment:
Ace-Swords: Handwritten message.
2-Cups (Hearts): Telegram. Phone call. Face-to-face or in-person delivery.
2-Swords (Spades): Letter or document/contract arriving.
8-Wands: Internet; e-mail.
9-Swords: Telepathy. Phone call.
5-Pentacles: A bill, usually unexpected. Ditto for 16-The Tower.
All Pages: A card or note. Phone call (usually Page-Cups). Pentacles: Parcel.
Knight-Swords: Mail in general including regular/surface mail. Especially those associated with urgency or speed as via courier or Special Delivery: Fed Ex. Airmail. Priority mail. E-mail.
Knight-Pentacles: Snailmail in general. Parcel.
The Fool: Mail, usually postal or e-mail.
1-The Magician: Written message. Phone call.
The Hierophant: Notice of income tax audit.
16-The Tower: Phone call, sometimes related to an emergency. Computer malfunction or crash.

Hi! I often get the Star as being good news coming but not it's specific medium.
