Having another dah moment!!!
When you calculate your year for your Tarot Card does this work for Jan. to Dec?
Then when you do your year in numerology do you use your year number birthday to birthday?
I'm getting the two confused.
I usually use the year number and card from birthday to birthday but...
I see where you could use the Tarot Card for Jan. to Dec. and the numerology from birthday to birthday.
Example
If your birthday was March 31
3+3+1+2005=14 Temperance and it's shadow The Hierophant
Jan. to Dec. 2005 will be a Temperance year.
From March 31 2005 to March 31, 2006 will be a 5 personal year.
Does this make sense???

But you're getting the Temperance year with your personal numbers...so it's already a "personal" year...you don't reduce for your year cycle...you reduce when you're looking for your personality and soul number. You only reduce the year card if it's over 21.
I think I got that right.

In Numerology Key to the Tarot by Sandor Konraad, he talks about a "personal year."
He says that to calculate your personal year, you have to first calculate the Universal year. For 2005 that would be 2+0+0+5=7 (It is reduced down to a single digit.) Then you combine your month of birth and your day of birth and reduce it to a single digit, then add the Universal Year and reduce again (unless it is a Master Number).
Example, for me - 05/04
5+4=9 (no reduction necessary)
So the Universal Year (7) + 9 = 16= 1+6 = 7
It really is just the calculation for the Year card reduced to a single digit.
6 Personal Year
Responsibilities are the keynote for this year. Family matters will be important in a 6 year, and adjustments will have to be made. A good year for buying or selling a home and the very best time for getting married. Much will b erequired of you this year, and it will be a very up or a very down year as far as your mate and family are concerned. The manner in which you meet the challenges and respond to the demands that will be put upon you is crucial to the success of a 6 Year.
As to when the personal year starts, I like the method that Mary Greer in Tarot for Your Self describes. She says that she uses both simultaneously. Using my birthday as an example again, between 01/01/2005 I would have 6 interacting with a 7 until 05/05/2005, then it becomes purely a 7 until 01/01/2006.
She goes on to say that the Jan/Jan time helps her understand the events in her life, but the birthday to birthday cycle is a time of integration of the lessons she is learning.
