When you offer readings on a message board like this one, how do you do it? I've always fel the need to have the querant shaffle and cut the deck themselves to add a bit of themselves to the reading. I would like to offer a few readings on here for practice, but I am not sure how to go about it.

Personally, I'm not fond of ppl touching my cards, and have very rarely done face-to-face readings. I just post exactly what I'm offering, someone will respond with a question or issue, then as soon as I can, I just ask the question, shuffle, do the spread and write EVERYTHING down so I can type it up and post it. I like this better than any other method, as it allows me time to really think and come up with the best stuff rather than having to give instantaneous results. Biggest drawback I think is not really being able to dialogue with the querant.

It takes more concentration to remotely read for someone. I personally try and imagine the person. That doesn't mean visualing them, it could be picking up on a sentance, or something in their profile. Actually, when remotely reading I often read a profile. However, most concentration is on the question itself. I also talk to my cards, and explain what I'm doing and what I want. It seems to work, for me anyway.

i also prefer to be face to face, and have the querent shuffle. but over the years i have learned, to concentrate hard enough, and to form a mental bond with the person i am remote reading for, even if i don't know their name, or their face. it is difficult, and i am not always able to accomplish this, but when i feel it, it's there. btw i would be glad to let you practice on me, just send me a pm, and we will see what you can do.
looking forward to hearing from you

For remote reading do you find having
a picture and some personal tidbits
helpful???

i don't, it is a mental connection, through energy, not an individual

I do both face to face and Internet readings, and for me, the less I know about the querent, the better--keeps my and their wishes and hopes out of it. When I do face to face readings, I don't have them shuffle or tap the cards either. The Universe knows whose energy is whose.
