Hello ~
I have yet another (crazy) question. Do your decks get upset with you ?
I have been getting lots of reversals with one of my decks and I can't figure out why. I even turned them all right side up and re-shuffled - just in case the upright/reversed balance was way off.
At first I thought it might just be (Rx's) for me - but I was reading for a friend and the same thing happened.
Thank you :).

Hi Jasminebr ~
I shuffle with the intent of using reversals, I just seemed to be getting LOTS of them. Maybe it's time to switch decks for awhile .
Thank you :).

many reversals may simply mean that your energies are low and it's time to re-evaluate your objectives

Why do you think that getting reversed cards means that your deck is 'angry'?
A reversed card needn't necessarily be a negative thing. I use reversals and I read them like this:
If a card comes up reversed, it's qualities are either present or potential but they might be:
1. Delayed
2. Diminished / diminishing
3. Underutilized
4. Internalized
5. Blocked
I think if you deliberately read reversals then you should just read them as they come. Maybe you should try reading without using reversals if you're viewing them so negatively.

wouldn't have said it better. there are two good books about reversals: "tarot reversals" By Mary Greer and "learning tarot reversals" by Joan Bunning. this way you wilol see it is not all black or white, like everything in life, but in a range of subtle shades of grey...
oh! and as tarot cards are a tool for self-improvement, i can't see how they could be upset to anybody, it's not like they are alive... on the other hand, the one drawing reversal cards is the one whose energy is highlighted in the cards... so, if you go with the anger feeling (i think there is a subconscient reason why you came to the conclusion it was about being upset), are you angry/upset at someone/something in your life?
my two cents

No , not angry at anyone or anything. And as I stated in my question - the reversals are hapening for others that I read , not just myself. That was my reason for questioning them. If they were simply for me - I would take it as a personal message.

Decks can't get angry because they don't have emotions. Emotions need a brain in order to get processed. Decks don't have brains.
If you're getting lots of reversals, well then read the cards reversed. It's as simple as that. Reversals don't mean negativity. It's just another facet of the card that needs to be understood. Nothing to worry about.

Thank you all for your replies/opinions.
I just spoke with a friend who has been reading for 30 plus years and she advised me to cleanse/clear the deck in whatever way I am comfortable with.
That if the reader feels an uneasiness with the deck (even if it is unfounded) that it can affect readings.
Please remember - this is simply her opinion.
