i will make him pay before i lose :)
lol
actually i am already going tooth through nose ,

edited to add

this wouldnt' happen if they just reprint it already ,,

anyone know of any hope for that happening ?

sigh, I wish they would too. I would very much like this deck, but the prices are just too high for me. Waiting for a miracle, hehe

Clearly holmestarot is you. Good luck friend!

Rusty Neon  23 Jan 2005
Good luck! Make sure you have an appropriate automatic bid in place to respond to last minute bids. (But I guess you already know that. :))

fyreflye  23 Jan 2005
You've already overbid: http://www.fetchbook.info/compare.do?search=1855380013
The last SOL to sell on eBay went for about $76. I've seen it go down in price steadily over the past year like many other fad decks before it.
A year from now the Greenwood will be going for about the same:)

by 1 dollar, at 4 mins left, however i raised it up 6 dollars and i didnt' want to go no higher for that would of translated into 110 canadian and man that is too much for a deck,

in truth i did it for fun and was hoping to get outbid once the realization that i would have to cough up that much ..
though i was prepared to do so,, towards the end i was like come on someone ,, bid for my sake ,, save me from my tarot addiction

I have purchased a few decks off of eBay and what I learned was never bet on the first one you find; tweak your search and see if someone has listed the same deck a different way and compare prices.

In other words, search 'tarot decks', 'tarot cards,' and 'tarot' and see what pops up. Then try specifically by name or artist. Some people have no idea how to write a good sale ad and list their 6-billionth knock-off copy of the Rider as 'rare' (always laugh at the one!); sometimes clicking on an ad that has no information other than 'tarot deck - cheap' can bring unexpected results (like that Caring Psychic Family deck!)

Set your eBay filters to inform you of current sales - sometimes something you lost the sale on pops back up a week later because the buyer did not pay.

Check spelling versions too, not only 'servants' of the light but 'servents'. People don't know how to spell or just have a typo creep in. Anyone doing a search on one won't be seeing the other unless they're also checking what's due to 'end' while they're checking out tarot picks.

Hi HOLMES, I watched that one end because of your interest, refreshing every few seconds. The winning bid landed in less than 5 seconds from the end and was not the the person who mainly bid against you. I assume they over-bid by quite a bit from what fyreflye said.

By all means, be patient, and don't give up hope! There are still sellers out there who don't realize what they have. I got my Servants of the Light, last August, from just such a seller. It was a Buy-It-Now for $18.95.

This happened to me as well. I found a Buy-It-Now for $24.95. I bought it just because it was such a good price, but now it's one of my favorite decks for serious readings.

HOLMES  24 Jan 2005
for i managed to get a copy of magickal tarot and i got a copy of all my out of print decks that interested me.
so tracking down the servants of the light is like quest for me. like tracking down those elusive books.

if the servants of the light was originaly set at 40 ,, and those guys were bidding for like 60 to 70 ,, i would of won with 85 lol.

i was kind of hoping it was buy it now for 79..
(i was also surpised that the canadian person put it into us currency ,, that made it eve more expensive for me )

HOLMES  27 Jan 2005
there is another deck for sale, however it is being sold at buy now 99.
which is way above what i would like to pay.
he claims it is the previous bidding war that has given him that price for buy now. bidding war , yeahh right i only made a bid of within 6 dollars.
now if it had start at 20 and went to 120 or something like i can see it as a bidding war eheh

if only it was buy now 4oish ,, i would of did it :O( waaahh
ehhe
