In our German class last semester we were learning about Christmas customs in Germany, one of them is the Advent or Christmas Calender, which has the days of December before Christmas, over 24 "windows" that one lifts or punches out each day until Christmas. Traditionally they opened to christmas scenes, today they are made to punch out and reveal candy often, or other small gifts.
I was thinking the other day, why not apply the same concept to Tarot. If you can find a place where it wouldn't be disturbed, maybe lay them out face down for a certain period of time, either in general or perhaps leading up to a particularly significant day such as a solstice or other importanttime, and turn one over each day, revealing a new image. It might be an interesting variation on a card per day exersise, or, if you can resist temptation long enough, something to try with a new deck, one in which you haven't even looked at all the cards yet...
Just a thought...

Nice idea SphinYote. It also reminds me of a programme we have in England. It is a sports quiz programme where there are about fifteen windows and behind is some kind of picture of a sports personality taken from an odd angle, which the panel have to guess who it is. Laying the cards out could be like that, where you pick a card/window each day, until the lot are turned. Maybe you could work your way through a suit like that; noting which order they are turned in.

On how long you may want the Tarot to guide you.Basically you can turn a card over each day to tell you what may influence you.Or a series up to a calender day or up to an event in your life.It can be a game or an exercise in Jungian analysis.Or even a peek into the immediate future of tomorrow. That is the attraction and excitement and frustration of this whole thing.G
