OK, I manage to see the pages about personality and soul cards in the book "Tarot for yourself".
Now I´m not sure if I´m doing this summ as I should.
I was born on december 14 of 1974. when I calculate all this I have the number 2000.
___12
___14
_1947
=2000
so my personality number is 2? and how could I summ any number for my soul card, it is 2 again?
I now there are other post about this and I see them...but as you could see my case is a little diferent.
I see other websites where this is doing in a diferent way reducing the birthdate to single numbers
in my case it will be:
___12(1+2=3)
___14(1+4=5)
_1947(1+9+4+7=21)
=29, since is more than 22 we summ 2+9=11
Well that´s other way I find in the web. Now I´m not sure bout wich is the right one...

Dear aolba -
Everyone calculates their cards slightly differently (meaning Major Tom, Meewah, and myself) but, yes, your calculation of 2000 reducing to 2 is correct.
According to my own book It's All in the Cards:
If your birth number is 2, your soul card is 2 - the High Priestess; your personality card is 11 - Justice or Strength (depending on the deck), and your shadow card is 20 - Judgement.
With the soul of a High Priestess, your intuitive processes influence everything you do; even unconsciously. You know what people have done before they tell you. This compliments your personality, where you seek justice, looking for the fairness in everything you do and in how you deal with the world. This can cause you to seem an enigma to some, and truely mysterious to others. The Judgement card as your shadow, however, cautions you to be careful and not to misuse your abiltiies or rush to Judgement.

Greetings aolba ~
I made a mistake last night in my PM to you. I was tired. My apologies.
As TarotBear said, people do these calculations differently. Mary Greer's Tarot Constellations would have the first reduction of your numbers at 20, thus making XX Judgement your personality, Further reduction to 2 would make II High Priestess your soul card. In Greer's system you would be a 20 - 2, and thus 11 would be your hidden factor card.
The system is worked out using root numbers. You belong to the Constellation of the High Priestess: 20 - 11 - 2.
It's sometimes confusing, isn't it?
Greer comments that 20 - 2's are aware that the past has made them what they are. They often seek to transfor and control things around them. They are oftenhealers, therapists and others who believe in self-transformation.
Perhaps TarotBear could comment on how you might be helped to make a choice on what system to use for yourself. It need not be rigid but something you feel has meaning for you.
Many blessings ~

Well, that's funny, because this calculation is close to my own disposition (20 reduced to 2). Except that for me 8 is Justice and 11 Strength. So does my personality (or hidden factor) change according to which deck I use? Or if I should decide that 11 is Justice one day, that means my personality (or hidden factor) follows?
And what might it mean to have a Judgement personality card?
Confused.
La Papesse suits me well :)

My suggestion is that you TRY THEM ALL and see which one best suits what you know about yourself; you can also ask a friend for an objective opinion.
In Tarot in Ten Minutes, author RT Kaser has a whole different slant, and in his system I could be either a 1 or a 10, depending on if the date of your birth is an odd or even number. (His system makes me a 10, but the description of being a 1 sounds more like me)
In Meewah's system, I get the same cards, but in a different order.
Are any of these systems wrong? No. Are any of these systems right? They ALL are!

No, I'm sure they are not wrong (unless someone can't add up and reduce }) )
It's a good point, deciding which. I think I'll take them both - the lusty but wise stregth of Strength, and the balance and search for Justice of Justice (that's my job, after all, to fight for justice...)
La Papesse has lived in me a long time. I still haven't plumbed her depths - though she knows me inside out. It is strange that whatever I do, I meet her in some form or another. One of the first readings I ever had done, before I learnt the Tarot myself, was with a kind lady who sounded like my grandmother. At the end of the reading (an amazing psychic experience by the way), she gave me a little hug, and said- "you are a High Priestess". She showed me a card- I don't know which deck. "We are sisters in the soul". Now, I was pretty sceptical back then, though warmed by this woman's kindness, but when I found out I was a 2 soul card, I remembered her. It was nearly 10 years ago, but I can still see her face and hear her voice. She told me some pretty astonishing things, too.
Has anyone got any idea of what a Judgement personality or hidden factor card might mean? It's such an - arcane card. I have no trouble with it in readings (well, normally I don't), but I do have trouble reducing it to a human personality.
Thanks :)

I wasn´t sure if I´m doing the calculations as I should. I found 2 ways to find the soul and personality cards. One in a book and the other in the web. One is in Mary Greer's book, tarot for yourself, and the other is in websites. I try both and I get diferents results. I get a little of light here in the forum but I need a little more of help.
I get 2 great anwers from Moongold and tarotbear, thank you.
Moongold tell me since my date summ is 2000 my year number is 20. and my PERSONALITY card is Judgement. My SOUL card is (after reducing the year number) 2, the High Priestess
tarotbear tell me since my date summ is 2000 my year number is 2. and my SOUL card is High Priestess. My PERSONALITY card is 11 and my soul card is Justice. Hummm I´m not sure if he use the second method I mentioned.
Moongold was right this is a little confusing. Becouse both answer are diferents.
I want to learn. But I´m not sure wich direction I should use: Tarotbear pointed many details of my personality. Moongold use the method I´m trying to learn

Helvetica, I'm curious about Judgement personality as well. I knew that there was a reason I liked you, we have the exact same cards, 20-2 and 11! Although I see 11 as Justice, generally. Kind of liking Strength in that role, though. Hmmm.
Yes, La Papessa is a great companion. :D
trinityangel, if you are 5-5, according to Greer's book, your Hidden Factor card is 14, Temperance.

2003 = 23 or 32 = 5
23 and 32 are not numbers of the Major Arcana cards.

:) Likewise.
Maybe a Judgement personality means we wake up every morning and sing Nina Simone's song: "It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life for me - and I'm feeling good" (trumpet swings in). I know that often think - let's ring the changes! I'm turning over a new leaf! La Papesse lends me some stability through the multiple awakenings, helps me integrate them.
I like Justice at 8 because of the "cosmic balance" association of number eight - but since really trying to engage with both systems (thanks to discusions on Aeclectic), I've come to see that Strength can also be about cosmic balance. And 11 the number of the visionary - well, visionary Justice would be a great thing! It feels weird, but weird is good, it stretches me. I used to switch over the cards in the decks, but now I'm experimenting with leaving them however they were designed and switching over my brain instead ;)

thankyou Stregaverde
u break the small number down to what adds up to 5 i gather then, i resad somewhere that if ur personality and soul card are the same then ur on a really soul/self search through this life, which makes sense to me, i've been thinking that way since i was 12, it makes understandin the struggles a lot easier .
i love this forum, i am new, but it's is amazingly helpful and interesting, good to know there are so many other out there doing the same thing...
