I'd love a job at a spa, especially if it meant free facials and treatments!
However..
At the risk of reopening the debate over certification, I have to ask: Who will the spas hire? If I go to a spa then I would like the massueses (I hope I spelt that right) to be certified and registered. But will the average spa who wishes to branch out into Tarot readings for its clients hire only only "certified" or "approved" Tarot readers?

More than that (to me, anyway), are the spas going to want tarot readers that read the cards honestly, or readers who will do nothing but please the querents?

Umm...good point milamber! I hope the honest ones! I think I just found my perfect job! I'm a Reiki Master who reads the tarot getting my degree in cosmetolgy!!!
I can do manacure/pedicure/facials while spiritually healing you, then tell you your boyfriends getting "friendly" with the maid! LOL! :D

Maybe it will even open up some avenues for some AT members to get jobs full time as readers, huh?
At those prices one would only have to work part time. But I am guessing the spa's are taking a pretty heft cut.

It is happening in Australia as well. Last year I went to a fairly expensive 'eco' island resort here in Queensland (work was paying for it for a conference, as there was no way I would have paid their 'daily' rate ;) ). But anyway they had a huge 'all day spa' setup with everything from massages, facials, mudwraps etc (I have never been to one so don't really know what they do!) and they had a sign up for Tarot Readings as well.
Unfortunately I was working most of the weekend and only noticed the day spa and tarot sign on the last day otherwise I may have checked it out more closely. But I did think at the time that it was interesting that they were combining that sort of 'service' at the day spa as well. No doubt they would have charge a high price for the tarot readings, being on a resort.
