Is there anyone else who loves the Medieval Scapini and uses it frequently?
I didn't really think this deck would affect me so much. I thought it was beautiful but once I actually held it in my hands (almost wrote 'arms' :D) I saw that it was - don't want to declare- so I'll say almost The One Deck for me.
I am waiting for the book on this and I hope it will be good.

I'm glad it's been so great for you. That was the second deck I got, and I just can't connect with it that well. I like the illustrations on the Minor Arcana for their detail (though, I don't care for the aces as much), but I don't use it that often because I favor my other two decks.

Aure I really enjoy this deck too.
I've had it for awhile, but didn't use it to much untill I got the book 'Art and Arcana' by Ronald Decker, and it increased my understanding of the deck by 100%.
Very good book, I think you'll really like it as a companion to your deck.

Am I confused, or was it all of only two weeks ago that there was an anti-Scappini thread with heated arguements about the unfortunate symbolism on one of it's cards - and this discussion is about what a wonderful deck it is for everyday use! Such is the nature of a forum! LOL!

It started that way, Tarotbear, but I'm pretty sure I won and turned it into a pro Scapini thread in the end. That's how I choose to remember it anyway.
Aure, I love this deck. And you won't be disappointed with the book. I've recommended the book about 50 times since I got it. Enjoy!
Peace,
April

medieval scapini was my main deck for a decade. i didnt have any other decks nor did i have anything but the LWB . I still wonder how much of the artists intentions i understood within the deck but i found it very usable
never had any complaints from clients about offensive imagery...most people just want a reading and are not doing art critiques. the courts are great , full of life and really stand out, as well as the aces. It is nice to see all this interest in an old friend
Enjoy
