Trusting your intuition

I've been having funny experiences reading lately. There are readings I do that I am constantly questioning -- "What the heck am I talking about? What does this mean? This doesn't make sense. I'm screwing up." Then there are readings where I think, "You know, I think I did a pretty good job on." But it's the former readings that I always hear back from the querent saying, "You were dead on. I'd like to do more readings with you." So this is starting to freak me out. I'm losing confidence, but at the same time, this loss of confidence seems to be indicating growth in my reading abilities. Anybody else gone through this? Insights? Thoughts? Raspberries? Kim

Sorry, no raspberries, Kim! :laugh: I was pretty confident about reading the cards when I knew them by rote. I had memorized their meanings, straight from the notes I took as I read book after book. That worked for general questions of the more mundane variety. Deep questions, however, needed more than the by-the-book meanings; I did awful with those readings. From my own experience, I found that my confidence came from my trust in those inflexible book definitions. However, it wasn't until I learned to rely on my intuition that I started delivering much better readings. I still have a lot of room for improvement. :rolleyes: My greatest obstacle now is to trust my intuition, as well as rely on it. That's where the lack of confidence comes into play...at least for me. :cool: Congratulations on your growth as a reader, frustrating as it may seem. You're probably even better than you judge yourself to be, LOL! :)

I agree completely with Logiatrix. Trusting your intuition is the hardest thing! Kim, I suggest that you might want to pick up a copy of "The Psychic Pathway" by Sonia Choquette. It's not as woo-woo as it sounds, and is a wonderful book about trusting your intuition. She has a new book out, called, "Trust Your Vibes", which may be even better for your situation, but I haven't read it yet, so I can't say. :)
