I've recently been advised to try sleeping with my deck to get better connected. I've been pleasantly surprised to learn that when this is done, that I have experienced vivid dreams. Perhaps it's more than vivid. It's like receiving information in your sleep, things that I wasn't quite sure of, or ignored, presents itself in the dream, opening a door to clearer insight. It's like seeing behind the scenes.
Last night I slept in my daughters bed. I received insight about her relative to a man I've been seeing for several months. They have never met. Per the dream, they both would like to meet one another. It was quite interesting in the aspect that I had only given it passing thought. It appears to be an issue regarding all people involved, not just myself. It's left me with something to think about, not just where I am concerned, but my daughter and the man I've been dating as well. All are curious as to whether or not this next step will be taken, although no one involved has mentioned this yet.
Each night I've slept with my deck, I've been offered insight. The first night was quite interesting as there was a gathering of a group and a man there presented me with a black satchel and advised me it was a gift... this has been quite a gift.
Would anyone have thoughts to share on their experiences in this practice. In the aspect of clarification of whether this new found intuition and insight is in fact further depth and clarity... or simply... expanded ideations of one's own mind?

hi midnight moon,
well, i've slept with them for almost a week now. the dreams aren't quite as vivid, but they are still interesting. i think i might give it a whole week then just sleep with them one night a week. i usually do a weekly spread on sunday mornings, it's a ritual of mine that i do. i might start practicing sleeping with my deck only on saturday nights for better connection for sundays reading.
although i must say that i find that i do think about my cards more since sleeping with them... i like them there. it's like a comfort thing.
the group i've been studying with suggests carrying them with you everwhere you go. i have never done this with the deck i use everyday. i do keep one of my original travel size decks with me almost daily. i think if i carried my core deck daily that yes, with the combination of sleeping with them as well as carrying them daily that i would find i bond with them more.
when i started this study group a few weeks ago, i realized i haven't really taken the time to look at my cards since i first opened them. it was like falling in love all over again. re-bonding. i know that for me that i've got my own perceptions attached to them. it's good to get a fresh take on them again.
take care

I have slept on my deck and found that it helps me feel more "in tune" with my deck. In a previous post (sorry don't know how to grab the quotes yet) someone stated that the deck seems to carry a warmth after sleeping on it. I do whole-heartedly agree with this comment.
I've also found that on the nights that I sleep with my deck under my pillow, I have very pleasant and VERY vivid dreams!

From what I've read in this thread I'm gonna have to sleep with my favorite deck. Maybe it might give me a better insight into myself and help me conquer roadblocks that get in the way of everyday life. Thank's for the idea!

Last night I was having trouble getting to sleep. I'm not sure if I was asleep yet when this happened or in between one of those fitfull tosses. However what happened was, strange. I saw or dreamt of a friend of mine who's mother has been ill. He was behind the wheel of his car with dark sunglasses on. There was nothing but him and this car and all else was dark. It was strange, as if passing through someplace... floating or suspended if you will, as there was no pavement either.
I received the call today that his mother had passed.
There was another strange occurance which I awoke to which had nothing to do with this situation. If it comes to fruition I will post about it.
Peaceful dreams..

When I sleep with my cards I feel as if it's more difficult to wake up because I already think I'm awake. My dreams are very vivid with the cards, but without them I don't really remember my dreams. It's harder to distinguish between dreams and reality with them, and it's almost there's a magnet that won't let me get up.
I do like sleeping with my cards because I feel closer to them that way. It's a deck I've had for several years now, and I've begun to walk around with them too.
