Which Tarot Deck(s) would Jesus Christ choose if he decides to return? Based on our knowledge about his life and preferences?
This is yet the hardest question I asked. Looking to our warm Earth down from the heaven....

there is the maste tarot based on his teachings, the minors are 40 sayings instead of the typical standards.
the soul tidings cards follows the tarot format but adds additional cards.
i am sure the christ would look at the tarot and make his own, giving us teachings about every card. and why it is in the universe.
and how it could transform to fit the new millenum we have entered.

I would have to agree.
What a thought provoking question though!

I too agree that Mr. Christ will do his own tarot deck and teach us all with it, and really looking forward to it. I also think he may choose Golden Tarot from the existing decks, because it is the one that absorbed most of the accumulated Christian art in itself?

What a totally fascinating question to ponder ...
I saw a short cartoon piece about 6 years back on the Comedy Chanel no less, or whichever it was that first had South Park, and it showed Jesus walking the streets of a city at Christmas time and ... well, there we no words from him; didn't need to be. He looked in store windows at all the what is now called bling-bling and the tinsel, and the lights and ... everything that has nothing whatsoever to do with what the holiday is supposed to be about. You get the idea. What I wouldn't give to have a copy of that. And I'm not a card-carrying Christian.
Oh, wouldn't I love to sit on a hill side and listen to him talk! I wonder if he would take questions from the audience ...
Tarot? Oh yes, he would see nothing wrong with it. He would just smile at our obsession with all the variants I'm sure. And nod at some of the ideas and symbols that are right on target. Would he make his own? Wow - well, maybe put his stories into pictures so that more people could get the messages. But then there would be the people who would be the Keeper of the Tarot of Christ, the original one of course. Then there would be the spin-offs to give it a twist that would appeal to a larger audience. Different colors, change the hair styles to keep it modern. Update the borders, change the font ... ...

---but, considering who he is, why would he need one? He's already got a direct line to what is & what can be.
Though if he's trying to teach us something it WOULD be neat if he ran classes, you know?

Most definitely the Tarot of Marseilles.

This is along the lines of my first thoughts. I imagine he would tell us we don't need cards because we can meditate on his teachings and on our idea of God and get our answers straight from the source.
If Jesus were to use Tarot cards, I doubt that he would be picky about which particular deck he used. He wasn't one to be dogmatic and exclusive. The more I think about it, the more I imagine him choosing (if he had to choose) a deck that's simple, pure, light-hearted, and often over-looked and even laughed at.

True, but it's going to be a long time yet, before we will be able to exchange and receive information directly from the Source, without any translator/tool. And as J.C. is undoubtedly very fond of tarot too, he will hopefully descend to use one or more of our beautiful decks to communicate with us and teach us so we can understand

Agreed. He also told us with faith we can walk on water and tell a mountain to get out of the way and it will move. As far as I know, these things haven't happened in 2000 years. Maybe someday we'll figure out how to fulfill our potential; in the meantime, we'll have to work with what we've got.
Thanks for this very intriguing question!

The reason I was thinking that Jesus might indeed think of creating a tarot - picture cards in some kind of order - is because if his words weren't enough to get this ol' world turned around from hatred and violence maybe using pictures instead of words would work.
As for a deck already in existence ... I think bits and pieces of every one already out there. All of them. They all have something to say. They all reach everyone of us at some level.
Just had an ah-HA! moment here ~
he would have to 'create' more than one deck because we look at even pictures differently. Due to culture, environment, experiences - to have us reach some of the same conclusions would take different routes. That's why I think 'his' deck is already here; it's just hidden in amongst all those already in existence.
hmmm....

It's a fun question , but I can't imagine what Jesus would need a tarot deck for . If he had intended to create one, I think he would have.

Probably the Tarot de Marseille....but given his revolutionary streak he would probably make a few changes that would make the purists blench. After all, he didn't invent anything new - he re-arranged the old in a new way.

My thoughts exactly!!
Just like there isn't anything new in New Age. :)
