Charmed Tarot Cards

Watching the episode of Charmed right now, where Cole is possessed and it's the night before the wedding....I love the Tarot cards that Phoeboe gave her sister...be nice if they had a real copy.

I saw that episode too - sometime last week and I managed to get a proper look at the deck this time. It was a type of Marseille - when the cards were on the table and Piper asked Paige to read them again, the camera flicked to the top card and it was a Marseille style Minor but of the three cards shown properly the one called 'Despair' looked just like the Three of Swords, man with Swords in his chest, - the other two were the Lovers and Death. It did look like a nice deck but I noticed that when the whole deck was together it wasn't thick enough to be a full deck. Shame they couldn't have used a proper deck but they might have had problems with licences and suchlike.

Hi I'd missed that episode and was interested to know which deck it was, so did a quick google and this link came up: http://www.tarottotes.com/item.asp?IID=43 then switched on tv and think it was 'family affairs' or something, and they were talking about tarot ... spooky or what! Cat

Hi Wellspring, Thats a good link - I hadn't seen that site before. It mentions the one deck used in Charmed but it was a different deck used for the Wedding episode.

what disappointed me ( i know I know it's a tv show) was the fact..okay these are witches right..but they kept running down the tarot saying "I dont' believe in those things" BUT yet Phoebe had the gift of premonition..it was like..uhm..you can believe Phoebe and the BOS but you don't believe the Tarot.
