Measurements of Druidcraft cards and book, for making pouch

Hi :-) The despatch email's arrived, so Druidcraft is on it's way! Just a quick post to ask if some kind soul who has their Druidcraft would tell me the size of the cards and book, as am really looking forward to making a pouch to keep the set in. Thanks, Cat

Hi Cat The cards are 3 5/8 X 5 1/2 inches (found it in another thread). Not sure about the book though (and I haven't got it right here). xxx Nina

Hi Nina :-) Many thanks for your message. That's great - I'll get sewing! (Wasn't 100% about making the pouch big enough to fit the book too, but thought would include it in question incase decided so. No probs, as think the pouch would be too cumbersome if made it to fit the book too.) Thanks, Cat xx

Hi Cat- the book is 6" x 9 1/2 x 5/8 I pretty much leave my book on the shelf. I did sew an oversized bag for the deck tho.

Hi Majecot :-) Thanks for your message and the book measurements. Hmmmm, am thinking after all it might be okay to make say a 12 x 8 pouch and really overstitch it to be extra sturdy. Did you make yours about that size, incase wanted to sometimes put the book in with the cards? Thanks, Cat xx

I only made a bag for the cards. Two different styles. The first one I made was a drawstring lined bag. But because of the size of the deck I felt the bag would look better as a pocketbook ( envelope) style. Which is what I made for Merc. One of these days I will get around to making one like that for myself, I liked the look of it much better. Once I made a spread cloth with two pockets for my Faeries but I do not use the pockets, I find it all too bulky. I do use the spread cloth those. So I just leave the books on the shelf now anyway ;) Somewhere or other in this forum are pictures of both ( I was never good at search feature...lol)

Pouches you made sound great. Am making embroidered lined drawstring one; hadn't thought of an envelope-style one. Great idea, and re pockets on cloth. Can see what you mean about it maybe being a bit bulky though, and it being better to keep the book on the shelf. Found a cloth I'd made last year, but still fancy making a new one specially for the Druidcraft. Right, am off to see if I can suss out the search feature (lol) and see the pics!

Found it! Really beautiful. Might make an envelope pouch too and see which one prefer. :-)
