Hi everyone!! Lately i've noticed that my daily readings are totally off the track..For example today i pulled The Star as a daily card and today i've learned that i failed 2 exams which i expected to get an AA from..and now i feel very very sick and had to stop studying for my other 3 exams..Yesterday i pulled joker and ace of swords together and NOTHING significant has happened in relation to the 2 cards...i had an ordinary day i'm actually expecting a new beginning new relations and a possibble talk with significant somebody..but i haven't even seen that person around that day!And now i'm kinda scared if i am being wrong with my latest readings...
Why do you think this is happening..esp. with my daily readings...maybe i should stop using my rider waite deck for a while but i feel so connected to it?..by the way i keep pulling the death card all the time..maybe i should study with another deck?

I don't think they're mocking you... Though,if it makes you feel better, you could put the cards back in order and then shuffle anew. Sometimes that seems to help me rethink.
So here's my thought: the Star was meant to tell you to keep hope alive. She does that a lot -- you can't expect immediate results with her, but you can draw on her energy to keep your chin up (so sorry about the exams -- that's terrible!).
The Fool and the Ace of Swords -- well, I read that as lots of ideas running around, and no grounding for them. So, you'd think about things a lot, but there'd be no action that day.
And, the Death card is one of my favorite cards, actually. I had to get over my nausea everytime I pulled it because I learned that, numerologically, this guy is supposed to be teaching me all sorts of hidden lessons in this life. I've actually learned that when he appears it often means I need rethink what I'm thinking -- a change of consciousness is coming, and I can either embrace it and learn from it, or I can resist it (in which case I can expect the Tower to show up soon, cause resisting my teacher card doesn't seem a very wise idea). So I'm not at all sure, and wouldn't at all be surprised if someone else had a different idea, but my thought is that he's an indicator that you are going through some change in the way you're thinking about things -- or an indication that you need to change the way you're thinking about things. Get some of that energy from the Ace of Swords and the Fool, not to mention the hope the Star brings, to help you out.
I have no idea, by the way, whether I'm on track here, but those were the thoughts that came when you described the cards.
I hope things get better soon -- and as a professor I can tell you that one of the best ways to deal with test anxiety is to go work out (whatever your favorite form of exercise is, and a lot of times the best form for this is yoga, or some other physical form of meditation to calm your mind and get the tension out of your body, too), and then hit the books. Don't let your anxieties weigh you down because tomorrow is another day!

I don't think your cards are mocking you at all; however, perhaps you are actually (unconsciously) ambivalent about whatever your particular question for that day is, and the cards sense your demand to know with your fear of finding out, and what you are getting is a homogenized reading that is neither.

MM ~ I'd just cleanse the deck. Not everyone is into doing that, but it works. I don't care HOW it works, it does the trick. Sunlight, moonlight, sage smoke, it's all good. BB, Stella

Hi Al Si'ra
I dont think your cards are mocking you at all. They do sound relevant for your situation, and a day out of sync. The Fool and the ace of swords would have been a better indicator for your news and your thoughts about the examine after finding out you didnt do as well as you had hoped. Have you been out of sync with yourself because of your study?
Your reaction has been to not focus on the next three exams. This could have such consequences such as the Death card. Has this news made you think about your abilities? Dont throw it all away without reassessing the situation with some hope - the Star. Even the Ace of swords hints that you'll get back into the swing of things - a new begining with some anxiety around it. The Fool may indicate you need a plan, to organize things for your sucess in these matters. Dont be blind to your situation but you could be bold in your approach. (The Star really does bring much hope and your wish around this issue).
You may need to speak with a significant other - but in the current light - it maybe a person who has to do with getting you through this - a teacher or a friend.
Maybe try doing a draw for the entire week, a seven card spread for a while. You could still do a daily draw to suppliment the reading.
Just a thought:
Best wishes with your exams.

All good answers so far, so I throw my thought in for what it's worth. I think the death card is telling you that you need a change, a change of what I don't know. The other cards that seem so wrong, I feel is your desire for the day. What you want to happen, not what will happen. Typing this, I am wondering, if maybe that is what the death card is about, maybe you need to focus on what is happening, and not what you want to happen? I don't know, it really dosen't make sense to me, but that is what came to mind.

Well, I've never had my cards mock me, but in a book store, I got one of those books that you ask it a question and then open it to a page... and it did mock me. Me and my boyfriend were just asking random questions, and I asked it for the meaning of everything (Sort of jokingly) and the page I opened it to said, "Stand there and wait awhile..." and then after that none of the answers made any sense. So I just put the book away, and came back to it and it seemed to be 'working' again. At least the answers made sense. :)
I hope the problem with your cards get sorted out, and good luck on your tests!
