Charging

Tonight I will be charging my tarot decks outside under the new moon. We are supposed to have some severe thunderstorms tonight. I will be having them well protected in a ziplock bag so they wont get wet. I was wondering, do you think that the rain and thunderstorms would give my tarot cards an extra bang or power to the punch or whatever? hehe I don't know how to put it. I was just wondering if the thunderstorms would give them more of a charge.

I'll be following this one

Well, try it I guess and report back. I have never heard of this idea, so you may be onto something new.

The traditional suggestion for doing magic during a thunder and lightning storm is to rub salt on your body beforehand to protect yourself.

Shade would that appy to this situation? I'm not doing magic, I'm just wanting to set my deck outside and charge it. I did dig this up on the internet for charging gems. I am assuming this would also apply to tarot cards too. What do you all think?

"Thunderstorms with lightning are also an excellent way to cleanse your tools. Hang or place your tool in a window or other safe location where it is completely exposed (yet staying dry) to the full effects of the storm. Not only will this cleanse your tool, but it will also charge it giving it the energy (or some of it) of the storm. Don't be surprised if it's "sparkly" to the touch. It is not advised to do this during severe storms. I have to say that the thunderstorm method, although powerful, is not always very practical or necessarily safe."

*sigh* This post makes me want to let my possessions be outside a bit. I can't wait till next month when I'll be back home from college and have a backyard accessible to me once more. Unless I go romping around the city here trying to find a hidden spot (and if I could find it, surely anyone else could), my cards and my stones would surely be lost anywhere around my apartment building here at college.

My stones haven't had a recharging in a while, but I'm actually a full-moon girl, myself. 'Not sure if this is bad, but I just don't feel any energy around the time of the new moon. However, catch me the week of the full moon and I'm practically buzzing.

As a kid I would always get quite a 'buzz' from heat lightning storms that would come through at night, getting up to watch them out the window and everything. It might give an extra kick to the cards as well. Make sure you've got that seal pressed tight so you don't get wet/warped cards out of it.
