Here's a photo of the fireplace in my living room. On the fireplace wall is a framed uncut sheet of the Camoin/Jodorowski TdM, and I've painted random bricks with the main colors from the deck.

Cool!
Did you buy the print from House of Camoin, or had it made for yourself?
The coloured bricks are a unique touch, ŕ la The Tower.

Did you buy the print from House of Camoin, or had it made for yourself? I ordered it from the Camoin website, it came rolled up in a tube. I think they called it a poster, but I assume it's simply the deck after it's printed but before it's cut into cards. All 78 cards are on there plus the text card signed by Camoin and a blank card. I don't remember how much it cost, but it was fairly inexpensive. It was the framing that cost a lot.The coloured bricks are a unique touch, ŕ la The Tower. I didn't even think of that! :D

Thanks for posting the photo. Interesting idea. Could you please tell why did you do it?

Lee, it looks great, and a wonderful idea, it also suits your decor very well and says something about 'you'. I love it.

Thanks for posting the photo. Interesting idea. Could you please tell why did you do it? I did it because I like TdM decks (although ironically the Camoin is not necessarily my favorite), and because I thought it would be an interesting thing to do with what had been a blank white wall.

Great idea - thanks for posting the photo - and for the decorative idea :)
Now, if I could get hold of a sheet of uncut Jean Dodal...(dream on, Sophie). Pretty cool thing to do, however - and I agree with Rusty Neon, that chimney has a Maison-Dieu air about it! (Check the masonry ;))

Lee, I love it! The whole room is beautiful, and now the fireplace is an effective and intriguing center of interest -- almost a meditation piece, in fact.

I was very pleased with the colors I used to paint the bricks. I actually took a card from the deck (my real-life Camoin deck) to the paint store and they matched the colors exactly.

Lee...it's beautiful!!
I have a picture from the MerryDay from Mimers...and I have a couple from Ciro of the Gilded....They are still in my car to be framed,,,
Your fireplace and surrounding decor is perfect for the picture...love the brick colors!

You've taken a big piece of Tarot art and made it a focus of attention. But the light and space of your living room, and the bright Camoin colors keep it from saying, "Woooo, I'm a spooky, mysterious Tarot guy!"
You did a great job with this.

Lovely !! I think it makes a great focal point . I wish more people would decorate with tarot , so we could see it.
At first, I had visions of someone taking all the pip cards and carefully gluing them to the walls of a small room, ad infinitum , and then slowly closing the door and going stark raving mad !! (The pips always make me think of bad wallpaper. ) No one should do that.
