I would be interested in hearing how others interpret missing suits in a reading.
Meewah has made an interesting point in a reading I did for someone and I was curious what the general consesus is
So to me:
Swords missing would indicate a lack of thought, of action without thought
Cups missing would indicate a lack of emotion or of supressed emotions
Wands missing would indicate a lack of passion, of drive and a general flat feeling of not knowing which direction to go
Pentacles...um I havent decided yet....Being broke? Not being in touch with your body (unfit?)
Any suggestions and opinions welcome

Pentacles: a lack could indicate various conditions pertaining to the material, physical or a stage of development.
To not be solid; to lack a basis, conviction or ground.
Impractical; no common sense.
To not be convinced; to question the feasibility of a thing; something questionable or the existance of doubt.
Financial/material difficulties; material losses.
Lacking real evidence or results.
Out of touch with reality.
Health issues.

To some degree, the size of the spread would affect the presence or lack of suites. For example, a seven card spread could have two major arcana, two of two different suites and one card of another suite -- and still be within a general probability range.
Some spreads and questions might not be affected by a "missing suite." After all, one could make a valid claim that in smaller spreads and with some questions that it is the cards that are present that are important. Now that I've been contrary I'll go somewhere and be quiet. Dave.

Agree with Dadsnook2000.
A missing suit need not of itself pertain to an issue with same. Particularly where the smaller spreads or fewer cards concerned.
Context would influence the interpretive.
