Mr Card, Your Lucky Number is.......

Due to several threads and sites about random numbers, I considered what I had not thought of before; What number one would give each card between 0 and 78. I am talking about the Minors or suits. I have mentally gone this way- Swords (head?) Cups(heart?) Wands(hand?) Coins(Feet?) Ace through 10, Page,Knight,Queen,King. Another member thinks it changes with how he thinks at the time, but generally goes Ace,King,Queen,Knight Page 1 -10. In my way Number Card 23 Would be Ace of Swords. How about you? I don't know if there is a standard sequence. ~Rosanne

Hi Rosanne
I have a Merryday tarot all the cards are numbered 0 through to 78 and then the numbers on the minors are added together to find which of the majors correspond,it get's quite interesting ie the devil/Tempter resonates with the lovers ,the king of Swords carries the number 23 which resonates with the mentor (pope),then Queen 24(again the lovers), and so in with the suits in order of swords, wands cups then petacles so the 10 of pentacles is number 78.I am not sure if this is the traditional way but I can see why the Merryday uses this ,and it seems to give a little more depth.I am only learning this recently so I'm sorry not much more help..
Blessings

1 through 22 (The Fool) then Wands Cups Swords Pentacles
Ace Queen King Knight Page 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 ~ naturally!

Aces are very singular quantities in the Tarot,
and not at all like just the simple number one.
I put them at the front, as the mightiest card.

Zodiac signs-houses follow the pattern of:
Cardinal Fixed Mutable
so I put the Queens 'ahead' of the Kings,
followed by the Knights, Pages, and 2-10.

And y'know ;) it feels right.

I put Aces as the first (or one) card. They are beginning places. you Start here.

Tarot has its own "logic" about simply everything.
Systems fail because they are what is "flawed"
in the world of Tarot... experience teaches this.
