Hi Everyone I have never been paid for a reading. I also stated in another thread today that I still consider myself a beginner of the tarot, even though I have been learning it for about eight years. Of course, we are all still students of the tarot and even though I do give some readings that help people from time to time, I am by no means a master. Rather than doing live sittings (which I am not ready for yet - professionally, anyway), I have been considering working through a site - offering readings for a small amount of money, that would be sent to the querent via email. Does anybody here do this already? Has it been (even mildly) profitable? Has it enhanced either your learning or confidence? Have you managed to gain a consistant client-base? How did you go about setting a site up? If you were to seek a reading from such a site, how would you like it to be and what kind of information would be useful to find in it? What kind of legal stuff would I need to know? It is only a thought at the moment, but thought I would ask my friends at AT that may have already ventured down this path. Any answers to these questions or experiences in this kind of thing would be greatly appreciated. Best, LB

Hi there Just a thought but I see you are in the UK ,have you thought of joining TABI ,the tarot assosiation of british isles .They run a free reading service which you can apply to be a reader on and gain experience ,they offer loads of support and a lot of members have their own sites and will help with site building ,could be an idea... Thank-you EarthenLady ... I will check that out. It could be great for getting more experience. I know it sounds shallow but I was also hoping to make a little money while I continued to work with the cards. I will definitely look into the site though ... thanks for the tip. LB

Hi LB, Just an idea, but if you're thinking of doing online readings, you might want to get paypal set up (if you haven't already). Would make it much easier for your prospective clients. Best of luck. x Huredriel

Thanks Huredriel ... I thought about that as I had seen it used before but havn't researched into it yet so I don't know how it works. This is all just a dream at the moment but I would be interested in doing it. LB

Hi All I am working on a very simplistic site; as a dry run, for friends and their friends - just to see if I could handle doing this and also to see how effective it would be. I am keeping it as basic as possible but obviously, I want a little text to explain the site and the tarot there; however, I am having a bit of a blank as to what to say. Any ideas? LB
