Book of Tarot

Time has come to write the Book of Tarot. In 6000 BC the "Book of Changes" [i ching] was written, [thread=42945]see discussion[/thread] and now we are ready to make the next step - create Book of Tarot in our highly artistic talented forum I propose to make the Book of Tarot in poetic format, consisting of 78 songs. Each song will be a composition of all the entries for one of the Tarot cards separated by space from each other. Each entry can be posted here written in poetic form from 1 word to 4-7 lines for a card. Please specify the tarot card in entry. When completed, a group of editors (moderators :)?) will kindly put all the entries in order for another 6000 AD years to learn and enjoy :D:):) Can we?

I think this could be a really good project for people to work on. Are you going to issue people cards or are people meant to just do it on whatever card they want?

Yes Emeraldgirl - anyone can create entry for any card or many entries for many cards. Each of 78 songs will have multiple entries separated by space in final Book of Tarot. Order of entries is flexible, the cards-songs will be put in order at the end.

Cool Idea!! Do you need to know which deck the card is from? Am I making this too difficult? LOL!! :laugh:

Goldenhair - this is a good question. Each entry can be written based on any deck or no deck. It would help to specify the deck in the entry. Though the final Book of Tarot will not have the deck names, only the multitude of poetic impressions together in one song for a Tarot card.
