I've had my Morgan-Greer deck for nearly 20 years and almost always read from it. I've had very good results from my deck, but over the past week, as I've asked questions, I seem to not get an answer...I keep getting answers AROUND the issue, not directly corresponding to the issue.
I think I maybe having concentration problems with my Tarot deck and I'm unsure as to why this is. Last week, I had a GREAT Tarot week; this week, not so good.
Does anyone else experience this at times?

Goddess Artemis ~
The Morgan Greer is a great deck. It was the one that made tarot "sing" for me. I used it almost exclusively for about a year but rarely read with it now.
There are a couple of possible explanations for your current situation :).
Perhaps you and the deck need a break, as we all do from relationships from time to time. Have you thought of getting another deck, just to offer some fresh insights, a different perspective? It might also be fun to shop around, choose anothe deck
You could be asking the same questions of your old friend, Morgan Greer, and it might no longer be possible to give you fresh answers. Could the explanation lie there?
A week is not a long time. Especially after 20 or so years of service :). Perhaps another option could be to take a break of a couple of weeks from this kind of reading yourself. Perhaps do something different with your tarot - with a new deck, or possibly some different kinds of readings with your Morgan Greer.
All the best ~

Hi Goddess Artemis,
I agree with Moongold :)
This happens to me from time to time. I usually use a deck almost exclusively for a few months but after that amount of time I find that I need a new perspective. A change of deck usually works wonders.
Treat yourself to that Golden Tarot on your wishlist - I'll bet you'll be shocked by the new insights you'll get :D
Love
Sulis xx

I keep getting answers AROUND the issue, not directly corresponding to the issue.
This sounds like a good time to have someone else do a reading for you, rather than worrying about the deck. I find that if I don't quite want the answers to a question, the cards fudge interminably.
Alternately, you might want to ask the cards what issues you might have with the issue, that might keep you from going after an answer.

You all make very good points. After reading your posts, I pulled out my Thoth deck instead and asked the same questions I'd asked from my Morgan-Greer...
I'd asked if my ex would be making me contact with me at all over the next little while. The weird thing was, I got the SAME response card in the Thoth deck, too (8 of Pentacles)! But there's one thing about the Thoth deck...I can almost look at the cards exclusively and know what they mean without having to look up any references. There's something odd and very cool about the deck. Anyone else think so?

After a long time of not using my Thoth deck, right now I use it almoste xclusively, with the same results, the answers are clearer than ever. I don't know if it will continue, but its nice now.

I have had this happen with a few decks where I have had the destinct impression that they needed a holiday and so I left them for a while used another deck came back to them later and they were fine.
