runic /tarot combi reading???

Hi everyone,
I like to know if you can make a releiable combined cardreading,one using a tarot deck and the other a runic deck??
I know it's possible but is the tarotreading combined with the runicreading thrustworthy enough because of the major differences??
Are the outcomes more precies, or are the outcomes way more difficult to interpretate because of the differance in readingstyle??
And if it's possible, who want's to find out with me??

I just have to pull it out, but I have the Caroline Smith Runic Tarot--which combines seasons, tarot and runes.
Or are you thinking taking a tarot deck and rune stones or rune deck? Do you have a particular tarot in mind or do you think any deck will do?
If so, I would be willing to try an experiment this week. You can wait if you like for others to participate...then post your experiment in 'your readings' for viewing and feedback. It may take some time to get others and have them also do an experiment.
I just noticed you didn't have 25 posts as of this writing, so we cannot post it to the reading exchange as of yet.

aye , that is a little bit of a problem, the 25 posts, but not impossible :)
I don't think the tarot deck of any kind is a problem i think it's more in the number of cards...........
I'm a runemaster theoraticly, but there's way more to learn about runes and tarot aswell.
I take your challenge cerulean, in the hope we make some kind of new species of readings (LOL) maybe next week is the best time to start than.

If you can find where I posted a day or so ago, I think you'll find it very interesting where I did the spread on how well I do as a Tarot reader.
It was a five card spread and afterwards, I did a rune pull for the same five positions. I posted it as a comparison and(to me, being used to runes and what they mean) it was VERY similar in the results I got with the cards.
Look under Your Readings or do a search for calligirl to see the posts. Then let me know what your thoughts are...

I've been reading runes & tarot together for a while, and have found that they complement each other well. It’s simply two oracles, one reading (session).

I wasn't paying attention to details but then that's my usual self.
Here's part of what I posted on the other thread.
This was the rune spread:
1st - what I do well - mannaz which means self or more general, mankind.
2nd - what I need to work on - wunjo which means joy or bliss
3rd - internal forces - uruz which means raw power or strength
4th - external forces - dagaz which means dawn or breakthrough, an awakening
5th - overall message - gebo which means gift or bond
Compare that to the Tarot spread I did first...
1st card - what I do well - Three of Swords
2nd card - what I need to work on - Two of Cups
3rd card - internal forces - Hanged Man
4th card - external forces - World
5th card - overall message - Temperance.
I think they compliment each other very well...this is not the first time I've done this but I won't bore you with the specifics. I've said it before, runes are very blunt and sometimes will add clarification to a reading very quickly!
