Hi,
I've had some success finding old school friends through friendsreunited.co.uk. I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to find people in France? Unfortunately, I was au pair with this family, so we don't have a school or organisation in common that I can search for. Any ideas would be welcome.
All the best,
FH

Hi fairyhedgehog,
since you weren't in school in France, I guess the easiest/fastest way to try and find your old friends and the au-pair family is to try www.pagesblanches.fr. It is simply the french phone book on internet. You can try to find people by giving only their name and the city they are in. If Pages Blanches doesn't find them in the given city, it can enlarge the search to neighbour cities and close "départements". It is a very easy tool to use. (I hope you still remember some of your French : knowing my compatriots, I really don't think they made the site available in english ...)
I wish you good luck to find your old friends !

Hi kissa,
I was hoping you would have some ideas :)
I've now got two possible phone numbers, but no reply at present. It was thirty years ago I was with the family, so I just hope that they haven't moved out of the region altogether and that one of the numbers will work.
Thanks for your help,
FH
