How old are you / How old do you feel?

I am interested in seeing if the general Aeclectic Communtiy feel the age they actually are... Alright - this poll may be a bit confusing... [list=1] [*] The first part is where you can put in how old you really are (anonymous of course :) ) [*] The second part is where you can say how old you feel . [/list=1] I have to make it so you can vote more than once but please only choose one age group for the first part and one age group for the second part...

i am 35 years old, and looking back i don't feel the same as when i was 20 or 25, so i suppose i feel my age....... Kaz

Kayne: you just can't resist this Poll thing! *and you still have to grasp the quotation in the above line* I won't say I feel older or so... I'm 18, and I think I behave much 18-like: insecure, passionate, eager, enthusiastic, annoying, obsessive, involving... Even though - apart from Kiama and some other (2 or 3 friends) I have met - it seems that being 18 for other people just means different things... HOW I HATE BEING RETHORIC!!! :mad:

I am 39. I selected the same age cataegory for how old I feel because sometimes I feel my age, sometimes much older and sometimes I still feel in my 20's. It depends on the situation.

Part of me wishes that you had posted this poll last month, but that wouldn't work either because I didn't find Aeclectic until this month. But if you had, and I had been around to answer it, then both how old I am and how old I feel would have been the same category. But since I turned the big 3-0 earlier this month, they had to be different. I just don't feel any different than I did in February, so I said that I still feel in the 20-29 range (tho definitely in the latter stages of it :) ).

I think i feel about ten years older than i am, but I still feel like i do when i;m eighteen, cos this is how i feel when i;m eighteen...i don't know if i feel 28, because i'm not 28, and maybe when i am, i'll feel 38... so i'll never really know!

well...I´m 22...and I guess I feel like I´m 22...but, sometimes I feel like if I was 12, sometimes like if I was 42, sometimes like if I was 102...I don´t know...and, don´t you guys try to understand me...I´m pretty confusing, yet so clear with what I truly believe... well...this is it ...

I'm 21, will be 22 in September. Mostly I feel older for my age. But sometimes I feel younger (and behave thereafter :D ) There are many reasons why a person feels older than they really are, experience being the strongest I think. However, that's a different story. :)

I'm 36 and most of the time I do feel my age but then I'm around my 5 year old son and I feel 10 years younger, especially when we're playing with his action men lol :)

Just had a thought to contradict myself: How do you know you feel 75, when you've not reached that age yet? If you haven't experienced that age yet, then surely you cannot know when you feel like it, cuz you've no experience of it in the first place? I hope I'm being clearer than I think I am! Kiama

I'm 42. But sometimes I'm a two year old wanting to have my mum rock me in her arms to comfort me (and weeping 'cos she's not there to do it). Then sometimes I'm a ten year old - kicking an empty Coke tin all the way done the road, making a terrific noise and ruining my shoes when I stub them. Then sometimes I'm fourteen - questioning and wondering "where does the universe come from and where do I fit in". Then sometimes I'm twenty - enjoying going out with the gang, having a drink too many and not worrying about what time I come home. Then sometimes I'm thirty - a loving, caring wife and mother. And sometimes I'm forty-two and thinking how true it is that "life begins at forty", 'cos things somehow take on a clearer perspective and life becomes serene. And I can't wait for my next 42 years and beyond.

48, with another birthday rolling around before long. Urg. I get such a laugh when I see younger folks making a big deal of their birthdays. Eventually, you just dread them, and notice they're coming over and over, each time faster than the last. But, honestly, I feel about 29, in spirit anyway. A friend and I were talking about birthdays recently, and she said she just switched the numbers around, so that all she was going to be was 24 on her birthday last weekend. So I quickly did the math, only to find out I'm gonna be... AACK!... 94 in May! However, there was some consolation in realizing that, just over a year from now, I'm gonna be.... FIVE! Yaaay! :)

that's a fun way to look at age. just think of how good you'll feel for a 94 year old! in light, jade ps and how much fun you can have as a five year old. :) finger painting and playing in the sand.

Hey, that means I just turned 3!!! now where did I leave that wide-eyed wonder? Of course the problem with this approach is that you age a decade for every year :( and I'm not sure that I want to go thru my teens again, once was enough ;) napaisti
