Hi Jade, question: do you use the aeclectic chat program? Yes alot! question: do you get the security screen popup? I thinki it might be your prefrences with your netscape/Explorer and change the settings as you my be just gettings security alerts because that setting is switched on. I always have mine off as it pops up all the time if your send any info. This may also help if it's switched on with websites unauthorised to use credit card details. I hope that works Funkpuss

funkpuss, thanks for leting us know, this is great !!! ok, what i do monday is looking in the store where they have a mac (i don't own one myself) and make a list of them setting options, and i will ask you to look in your system how they are set, i hope i can email you through the user profile here on the forum. that is, if you use INTERNET EXPLORER. Do you? I hope you do, then trouble is over. Let us know what browser you have please. kaz & jade

Hi Kaz & Jade, Go to web Navigator in the prefrences/security/alerts I there should be 4 boxes I just have the last box ticked. I'm using a French system on my computer so it may say things in a different way + I can't undertand French. But that shouldn't matter as I had that problem before on my old English system. Funkpuss

thanks funkpuss, i'll go and check in the store just to be sure what else is there that might need settings, and i will compare them with your system. jade, try if it works, it's in the menu change/preferences/security/alerts , just the same little screen where you did the other setting. ow i hope this is it !!! kaz

kaz and funk, i'm not getting the security warning that solandia asks us all to approve to get INTO the chat. it's not that i am getting one......it's that i'm not. and by the way, my preferences are set to "no" so perhaps that's the problem? i go to get into chat, funk, and it won't sign me in....it just sits at the page that says, 'signing in' and never changes. funk, what do you have downloaded to let you get into the chat? in light, jade

Jade, I think I had that problem when the forum changed a couple of weeks ago. I didn't get any alerts but nothing happened. So solandia had to give me a new password. I think ...I think that it's not your mac, there may be a bug on forum system what stops you from going to the next page or level after logging on. I also think some of the new comers had this problem but the best thing to to is to try what i mentioned if that doesn't work go to the Aeclectic webmasters.
