Tell us one thing you dream of doing!!!

Ramses  08 Mar 2002
Hey folks...

How are you?...Hope youŽre all fine!!!

You know...I dream of, some day, getting a Harley-Davidson, a black leather jacket and pants, a pair of black boots, head on the highway, listening to " Born to be wild ", by Steppenwolf...that would make me feel real free...IŽd love that...so much...

IŽd also like to, one day, take part into a pagan encounter, for the celebration of a ritual of some sort, under the full moon, in a forest, and all that...

How about you?...

Diana  08 Mar 2002
Oh, a million things. But one thing I've always dreamed of and which is fortunately in my reach, so one day dream will be reality, is to see the aurora borealis (northern lights).

kayne  08 Mar 2002
Next year I am going to travel the world! Starting in the UK... or maybe the US... and working my way from there. I am not making too many plans, just going where ever I want...

Free :)

Strange2  08 Mar 2002
I would *love* to go to Egypt, and stand between the paws of the Sphinx as the sun rises. Then climb the Great Pyramid and stand at the top and let the energy of the Uinverse and the Earth flow through me.

Hush  08 Mar 2002
to live in paris and marseilles at some point in life

huuuge ambitions (:

they're not actually that difficult but still...

Kiama  08 Mar 2002
One of my dreams is to go to Australia and visit Uluru, and then visit Stonehenge.

Another of my dreams is to write a really excellent book, and I mean excellent, y'know, like 'Booker Prize' excellent.

I also have a dream of giving birth to a few really wonderful and healthy children, and having a wonderfully large outdoor Celtic Handfasting, and bungee jump.

I really want to go to China. I feel almost a deep inner need to go there -- once, to visit and get a feel for the place. Then to go and live, perhaps for a year or so, perhaps longer.

Anyway, I've slowly but surely been learning Mandarin Chinese, as I know this will help make the dream come true.

truthsayer  08 Mar 2002
i'd like to travel europe leisurely not one of those 30 countries in 10 days deals. my particular interests are scotland, ireland, and the uk. i also want to see greece and egypt.

i'd like to write a best selling book--fiction or nonfiction and do my own tarot deck and book.

i want to live on the water again. it doesn't have to be a beautiful home. the location is all that matters. watching sunsets and sunsets from the waterfront are the ultimate high. it's like being on the front row of god's best church--nature. i'd spend my days writing, doing art, and tending my pets.

gee! i just realized that was more than one thing! if i marked it down to one dream, it'd be living on the water again.<<>>

slinky_jo  08 Mar 2002
Like Strange2, I have this life long urge to visit Egypt - once before I die, I hope! ;)

Also, I would LOVE to train to become a Veterinarian, instead of being a Vet Nurse! But that means travelling 400km away from my partner, and studying for seven years or so.

amyel  08 Mar 2002
I'd love to be able to quit my job and work in a art museum giving education tours to schools and other interested folk, thereby blending my art history degree, ability to talk a horse blue and my teaching abilities.

I may actually do this someday. It depends if I can ever afford to NOT earn the kind of salary I currently earn. I'm actually working towards that (the opposite of "keeping up with the Jonses").

jade  09 Mar 2002
running a spiritual retreat with free range organic chickens running around, spell-work around the fire pit at night and relaxed, enjoyment of life in general!

in light,
jade

VGimlet  09 Mar 2002
Work part time so I could concentrate on my writing, and all my other interests. I actually know the job I want, but it has a very low turnover rate (it's a *very* cool job).

Bings  09 Mar 2002
I would love to own a fabric and craft store.
I would love to finish writing my historical romance novel and have it published. (It doesn't have to be a best seller... just published)
I would love to go to massage therapy school.
I would love to go to the England, Scotland and Ireland. (My fear of flying is so great that this dream will always be a dream :-( )

My biggest dream is a home of our own. My husband is in the military so we have never owned our own home. We dream of OUR house, on OUR property. We actually want morgage payments and property taxes!!!! Because it would mean it was our home.

Uluru is fabulous! Even more sacred to the Aboriginals, though, is an area known to us 'The Olgas", which aren't too far away from Uluru. Their Aboriginal name - if memory serves me correctly - are 'Kata juta" or such. It's been almost 10 years since I've been to the Central desert region, but it still sticks in my mind as one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. And make sure, when you go Kiama (because I am certain you will!!!), to go up "up the track" to the Kimberley's region. This is closer to the Top end, nearer to Darwin, but is breathtaking.

I dream of someday having the means to support my love of creating. A small home in the woods, with a seperate studio area for painting, pottery, writing etc. And the youthfullness to actually enjoy it! I would also love to travel . My first stop being Scotland. Then on to England. Basically I want to do castle tours... as I love the medieval history.

And - like Ramses- I would love to someday be a part of a pagan ceremony. The whole idea of connecting so completely with others- is very appealing to me... plus i think the spiritual aspect would be amazing.

Logiatrix  12 Mar 2002
i would like to be able to run again. before i became disabled at age 19, i was an athlete of sorts. i played basketball, and though i was only five-feet tall (and still am), i was very good. i earned a letter and a pin in high school.
i remember how it felt like flying when i went jumped to the basket...and if i ever fell, i just got back up again, and kept running, kept flying!
actually, i don't lament the loss of the ability to run now, 'cuz i still have those memories--at least i was able at one time; many people don't even have that much. besides, up until a year-and-a-half ago, i was using wheels to get around, but now i am completely vertical and walking without aide, thanks to some new medication i'm currently privileged to be treated with.
i have decided to be an olympic athlete in my next lifetime, but not a skeleton rider--that head-first thing creeps me out!
:)
one thing that i have dreamt of, and may actually do, is travel across the country to all the major metropolitan libraries of the U.S., crowning the excursion with a very sacred pilgrimmage to the Library Of Congress. (moment of silence please).
i must do this before i die, or reserve another lifetime for it.

DollChica  12 Mar 2002
There is this cruise from Barcelona to Istanbul that I will go on one day. I also want to see Stonehenge and Egypt and Ireland.
In my next life, I'm going to be able to carry a tune :D

purplelady  12 Mar 2002
I would like to discover what my true calling in life is , and actually be able to do it And make a living at it! I would like to own a house,or a condo or townhome, but not have to struggle with ,or worry, or even think about money very much. I would like to travel to Europe and France and visit the Louvre, and England, maybe even Japan , the mid-east , and india! I would like to make a living working with computers. I would like to have a hand at changing society, and it's institutions in a new way I envision. I would like to bead everything I ever envisioned! I would like to have another child , and bunches of grandkids!

purplelady  12 Mar 2002
AND I would also like to actually travel to outerspace!

Ramses  13 Mar 2002
hey purplelady...me too, me too....me too...

IŽd love to travel to the outter space one day...that would simply make myself happy for thousands of encarnations...and if I could go to the moon...oh...I could die the very next day...cause IŽd have had my dream come true...

oh...and I didnŽt mention travelling to Egypt before, cause I think itŽs kind of obvious that IŽd love to go there some day, right?!...hehe...

catlin  13 Mar 2002
....is visiting most of the holy places such as Stonehenge, Glastonbury Tor, Uluru, Tibet etc in a kind of world trip.

Another dream is to see again the sunset on Mont Ventoux or the chalky whites of Les Baux in the gleaming sunlight (in the South of France).

Another dream is....well, there are so many things I'd love to do. Hope I'll manage to do at least some.

only one thing, eh?

well, the one thing i'd wish for myself and anyone else is enough time in a day, week, hour, etc... to be able to do what i enjoy doing. For me that is writing and working with tarot and my majick.

today however, i am doing one thing i've wanted to do for a long time now. Get LASIK (corrective laser eye surgery) on my eyes to fix my nearsightedness. i've been researching this for two-three years now and in less than 3 hours that will become a reality.

wish me luck everyone and send good healthy healing thoughts my way. since this is an outpatient operation, i should be back to work by tomorrow... without the aid of glasses or contacts.

thanks for posting this topic, it's fun to read over everyone's suggestions.

blessed be,
.dc

purplelady  14 Mar 2002
wow .dc , good luck!! I have known some people who have had it and have heard good things about this surgery. Let us know how it goes.

thanks purplelady,

it's all done with and over. happened yesterday around 4pmish PST. i slept most of last nite away but when i did open my eyes and stuff, it was a lot clearer than it would have been without glasses or contacts.

i am back at work (writing to you all actually) and today my eyes are great. i can see i think 20/20 and will get the final approval from my followup visit which is in a few hours from now. they're a bit tired, having been stressed a bit so i don;t know how much longer i will be spending at work.

so far i'm loving it and i hope that it stays this way for quite some time.

blessed be,
.dc
