I think that's it's name.
Faunabay, you recently mentioned this book and I've been meaning to ask. Is it good? Is it really good? I see it so often, but as far as books go in Australia it is truly expensive. Is it airy fairy- or a good mix of spiritual and practical?
What does everyone think of this book? Should I buy it, or am I better off spending the fortune it costs on crystals?

oh butterfly,
If you are at all interested in crystals and gemstones you HAVE to have this book!!!
The only thing I don't like about it is there are no pictures to go with the descriptions. But that's very minor and she has released a couple of other picture books to go with it (which I haven't bought).
It's a wonderful, wonderful book!! Under each stone it gives anywhere from physical to emotional to spiritual properties and also may go into a bit of the history. Actually some of the descriptions get a bit too intensive and you have to just pick what you want to know at the time and ignore the rest or your brain would be overloaded. LOL
I just can't say enough about it! It's a must have for people interested in crystals!!

Well I must give my opinion I supose, although I can't say I will be agreed with. Many people rever this book, as did I. As there are so few crystal books on the market, it is excellent for reference purposes but my own experience has shown that indeed it is a little 'airy-fairy' and new-age and can not be taken as gospel! If new-age is your thing then that's cool but I find the way the author writes is very repetative, dreamy and sometimes vague.
I would advise you to work with crystals and form your own conclusions as I think we all use different qualities of each and every type, depending on what we need at the time.
I'm not going to plug it, but my HP is to shortly have a book published ( a sort of encylopedia of crystals) and from what have read 'Love is in the Earth' pales in comparison!
There is a niche in the market and authors are snapping up the chance to be the first towrite an amazing crystal book, so hang on in there for a while!

Oh I completely agree with imperium in that you shouldn't take Melody's book as the gospel. I don't think you should take any written word as gospel. It's a smart idea to form your own opinions.
I still love this book though!!!, but always take it with a grain of salt and pay attention to what "feels" right and what doesn't. In my experience though, most of what she says "feels" right to me and I then take it from there.
