Reiki Attunement I

hi everyone! Just wanted to say that I took my first Reiki Class yesterday and am now certified in Level I Reiki! it was really great. I am a natural skeptic -- and even though I believe that Reiki works -- I didn't think that *I* would be able to feel it / do it. .... and I could! I'm very excited and happy. thanks to everyone on the forum who has participated in threads about Reiki -- especially you, Jade -- I was much inspired to explore Reiki, by what I have read about it on these boards. : ) joy

yes. I have. it's pretty amazing. I feel great. ... I have a definite increase in crown chakra activity. it's funny. i'll suddenly feel this warm buzzing over top my head. my instructor told me that the energy I received from my attunement will travel throughout my body, inacting changes for the next 21 days. Then, another reiki master I talked to told me that it approx. 3 days in each chakra, working it's way downward... hence, the 21 days... also, I feel more relaxed all over, like I don't have to worry so much. (I'm anxious by nature, my mind is always working on something, gemini-stuff, I guess....) curious how all this can happen from reiki. I'm enjoying the learning experience. thanks for asking!

okay..... maybe this is suggestion influencing me.... but I did just go into the bathroom and look at my eyes (after the other person left!), not really expecting to see any difference, and was already planning to tell you that they were "just as beautiful as ever".... but, indeed they are a different color than usual. I have blue/grey eyes... and they looked extremely green. but, they do change sometimes... so, I can't really attribute that to reiki.... so, now, tell me..... why do you ask??? :)

almost every reiki student i have ever had, reiki person that i have known have all mentioned (including myself) how different their eyes were after their first attunement. AND their face glowed. :) just curious, love jade

interesting... i am not initiated into reiki yet. but my boyfriend AcK! received his second degree attunement when he lived in CO. when he first visited me last december (before moving up) i was struck by his intense questioning and awareness of the clarity and color of my eyes. he'd tell me they were cloudy or darker... and since then they've lightened up and appear clearer. now i understand that spiritual changes in one's self take on physical forms however his curiosity into my eyes and this thread has prompted my curiosity. (and of course, i'm never gonna get this out on screen correctly the first time) what exactly is the connection between the two? why is it so important to watch the development? when chakras are blocked, what physical ailments can one visibly look for to diagnose a treatment for unblocking them? etc... i know some of these questions are not easily answered, but darnit... i'm curious. blessed be, .dc

btw, I've also been drinking water like a mad woman ever since the attunment! Downed an entire gallon in like 4 hours!!!!
