I am not sure where to post this....Sorry if it is in wrong place... In the Tarot games thread someone mentioned starting a tarot circle...Where I live I do not know anyone that uses tarot.. I live in Plymouth, Michigan..If anyone lives close to me and is interested in getting together maybe once a month for tarot "things" or bi-monthly..Something..I sound desperate..I am not that desperate..Well maybe I am..I am with my child 24/7...I am not able to work because of him and would like a social life..Well if anyone is interested let me know here, in a private message..email...If not..no problem..I always have online..

Dear Redwood, feeling isolated is purely a state of mind, and one that i have spent a lot of time dealing with. I have several people around me who participate in weekly gatherings to do things like card readings and love spells, etc. but I have never taken the initiative to join them. I used to think I was shy, but as I've matured I have come to realize that being in close physical proximity actually hinders my connection with people. I am so happy to have found this forum to connect with people in such a wonderfully non-threatening manner. I hope you do not feel the lack of physical closeness to others too deeply, for it is truly only an illusion of this temporal plane we live in. Though we may not be with others in form, we are never truly alone, for we are always in the company of angels. And we have each other! Blessed be, Blu.

Hi I agree with you all but I'm in London! I wish there was a Tarot cafe of something where people can meet up or just drop by. May be someone should start one up...that's how this forum got started I guess. Funky

Hi, I set up a tarot circle in my area in the last year and until now it is still working. I started with posting an addy in a well-known tarot online-forum and also distributed flyers in book shops, etc. We were about 8 regular participants but had to extend it to a wider extend as we were also discussion other spiritual/esoteric matters. Unfortunately, there are a few minor flaws in it: I thought finding ppl there with an similar interest and broad-minded thinking like you find here at aeclectic but it did not proove to be so. There are only 3 ppl who can do good readings with tarot/divination cards, the others are more into angels, etc and hope to get a free reading done every time. One member was heavily comlaining that the 3 readers were often asked for a reading but apart from reading skills they had no other gain. So pl do not expect too much from a life tarot circle. Aeclectic.net is sth very special which will not find an equal so easily.
