I think I fear marriage because one of my ex-boyfriends kept on asking me every month to get married but it did feel right and I felt that he didn't want to get married to me but just wanted to trap me. I think having a baby as well really puts the sh**s up me OOhhhhh the pain. But I think that fear came from when my twin sister got pregant at 15.
My brothers girlfriend freaks out when she sees fish. I would always have to cover my fish tanks when she came round. She knew the fear fear stemed from when she was a kid.
But saying all that I would love to have both and fears are something that you can overcome with time.
I think another one is as I'm going though a bit of mild depression. I was thinking OH MY GOD I'm going MAD but I'm not mad ........just a bit quirky and sad, I just need to keep the quirky bit and get ridd of the sad bit and replace it was happy vibes.

funkpuss, I think if you feel sad then there's probubly something in your life that caused it . So you have every right to Feel however you feel . And you need to accept that that is how you feel and work through it , until you feel better with time, which you will. And I don't think you need to get rid of the sad bit to appease society or anyone else and replace it with a happy face if that isn't where you're at now. You are entitled to your feelings just as they are. They are there for a reason. However maybe you want to examine them and move on to "happier vibes" when the time is right.
Fear of little fishies , regular fish in fish tanks? That's a new one to me! She'd have to run and hide at my house!
I think I suffer a little from Gamophobia and Gephyrophobia (I'm not sure I can pronounce that last one!)

hahahahahhaha...
I used to be very afraid of heights. So I began jumping out of airplanes. It cured my fear.
Then I had a ‘chute malfunction (true story). I lived.
Since then the Grim Reaper, the Angel of Death, the Four Horsemen and I have met face to face on four more occasions.
They do not scare me anymore.

Definitely Aerophobia! And this was pre-9/11, so it's not a result of that.
I know that I just have to get up there in the air and fly, and pretty soon my fear will go away. BTW, Umbrae, you're my new hero! I love the way you conquered your fear with real gusto!
Peace,
Melvis

Yes I agree with you Purplelady I just need to go through what I'm feeling. But I think I should think more positive and that will help, because I feel like a victim at the moment.
Thanks Jade
I would love to get married when I find the right person BUT the thing is I think I have found him but he has tons of problems which he need to sort out and I can't help him as I'm a little depressed. But I know in my heart I will never say yes to marriage unless it feels right and i will know when the time comes. I need this space to get my confidence back and the rest will come.

Wow Kiama, I am truly amazed that you actually wrote out that whole list! Where did you get it? How come some of the fears have 2 names for the same fear (for instance I think "fear of the cold" has 2 totally seperate names, so does fear of thunder)). Talk about catagorization. I guess it just goes to show that there are more fears available than we've ever even thought of! But how could anyone be afraid of the northern lights, or opinions, or dust?! I don't like dust , and dusting can be kind-of scary. But to be truly phobic of dust , they'd have to be afraid of literally Everything , because every object just about , has Some dust on it!

I was too lazy to go through the whole list. So sue me. It's nine o clock and I still have to make a bunch more cookies for the Spanish Fiesta tomorrow. *Sigh* So you know what I am doing while they cook. Anyway...
I have a fear of flying in passenger planes--I don't mind if I'm the one FLYING the actual plane but I am scared of being in a plane someone else is controlling.
Heights, definitely...fear of heights. And, fear of being abandoned.
Now I have another question for us non-virgins...would you rather have erotophobia or would you rather be a nympho?
Well, that's my .02...
*hugs*
your very tired

I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. Kiama, thank you for typing them all out. excellent!! What about a fear of being new to the forum, and hope that I'm not intruding? Everyone seems so friendly, so I hope that you don't mind me replying every now and then..............Floracove and I had ALOT of the same ones.................Going on vacation is tough for me because I have a fear of planes(I'm getting better)Why must they have to go up so HIGH????Fear of crowds.(especially on a plane)Fear of being in a confined space for too long. A car=because I get motion sickness.also..........fear of being poisoned. The big one I have is a fear of any INSECT. I live in Arizona,so in the summer I can truly be a pain if there are bugs anywhere in my vicinity. Don't kill them, just have my boyfriend get them back outside(if I find them in the house)

I suffer from Aerophobia (fear of flying). I have flown many many times and my fear gets worse each time. The last time I flew was about 4 years ago and I swore then that I would never get in another airplane. Just the thought of doing so makes me panic.
I also have Acrophobia (fear of heights). I didn't realize how bad this fear was until last summer. While in Toronto with friends I went up in the CN Tower. I was very reluctant to go but my friends were willing to cancel their plans to go up and stay on the ground with me. I couldn't let them miss out so up I went. I had the worse panic attack of my life while up there. I start screaming uncontrolably at the top of my lungs. I became so hysterical that I had a private elevator ride back to the ground.
