hey Sam, :) I'm not a skater --- but let me just tell you, you guys are cool! I wish I could do more on a skateboard than sit on my butt and roll down a hill. haha. My boyfriend used to be a skateboarder when he was younger. Now he's a downhill mountainbiker. And that's not any safer! I swear, boys are crazy!!!! :)~

I took a board and shortened it, I'm short, and goofy-footed. That was my #1 mode of transport way back in the 80's. No big tricks. It's my son that is on the boards now. We lve in the hills so it's dirt boards here.

My son is a SnowBoarder! I don't think you could pay me enough to slide down a mountain on one of those things , but He loves it!

I'm not, but all my husband's close group of friends are skateboarders, snowboarders, wakeboarders, depending on the season. Of course, they are all getting older now and tend to do most of their tricks on the snow or the water where the landing is (well, sometimes anyway) relatively softer. Heh heh heh, they would all be cheezed if they knew I called them old. Heh heh. :D

Wish I could stay upright on one of those darn things long enough to actually go anywhere! I have no sense of balance, so the first thing I do when I step on a board is fall off.... Kiama

it's years ago that i was on a board, i enjoyed it very much when i was between 10 and 16 years old, skateboards were just on the market here then and we didn't have pipes and halfpipes. just the regular go down flip the board and some tricks with things to jump on and over. kaz

I water ski! I grew up in a water skiing family. When we were kids we belonged to a Ski Club and my parents used to do all sorts of tricks for audiences like Water Ski Ballet and Piramids. It was great as a kid - we learnt to ski really young and there were always loads of other kids to play with in the Ski Club. I still love to get on the water and feel the freedom of zipping along the water! :D

I skated for about two years as a teenager - I couldn't do many tricks - an "ollie" was about it. But my bedroom wall was covered in posters and pictures cut out of skating magazines! I idolised Tony Hawk(e) for ages - apparently he is still around! Then something happened - something huge and massive in my life - BOYS. :D hee hee - traded in my board for make up and hair spray ;)
