Hi, cricket!
Glad you're thrilled at this, but I can't imagine it: love vanilla, hate Coke!
By the way, don't do too much jigging up and down or all you'll get is froth!!!

You know, I've never tried it. Maybe because we don't have it here in Canada. I usually mix it myself.

OK, for all you poor deprived people out there... ;) Vanilla coke is exactly what it sounds like - vanilla flavoring (like what's put in cakes and cookies) mixed with Coca-Cola. It sounds odd, but is actually really good.
Now to get Coke to start bottling cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper... })

This is the first I hear of vanilla coke too. I love vanilla but not sure if I'd like it in my soda. I'm more Pepis then coke anyway. Coke is got too much acid for me. I like vanilla Vodka does that count?!? Hmm vanilla & Coke. Does that count too? ;)

I get vanilla Cokes at our local Sonic Drive-ins. :) Yummy. You can actually add many different kinds of flavoring to your soft drinks. But it's fountain drinks and not bottled.

Yep yep. That's where I got hooked on them. (Well, as soon as I moved to an area that has Sonics. *L*) If you like them, you might try a cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper. :) We could start a petition to get them to bottle those, too...

Hmm... It has never made it's way below the equator either... (Not ot my knowledge anyway...) I am a big Coke fan but I don't know if I would like my coke even sweeter!!!
(Pepsi with a lemon twist has just been released here... Don't know about that one either...:P)

Ive been drinking pepsi twist like crazy since its release too :) And also Mountain Dew Code Red (cherry mountain dew).
We dont have sonics here, but when i was really little in the back of a department store there was a soda foutain that made them,i hadnt had one in years so i was happy to find the bottled stuff. I remember the fountain ones tasting a bit better tho ;)
I miss Pepsi Kona, i want it back. To totally gross out you foreigners, it was coffee pepsi. It was good great thing to drink if you wanted to stay up all night for some reason :)

And here's little old England, with just plain boring Pepsi, and plain boring coke... *Sniff*
If I wanted to make Vanilla Coke, what would I use? (Other than Coke!) Would I use Vanilla essence like you put in cakes, or the actual Vanilla pod scraping stuff?

*laughing* Kaz said Vanilla Ice dissolved in Coke... now I would want to get rid of Vanilla Ice but dissolving him in Coke could take a loooooong time! }) *laughing harder at the mental picture*

coke is pure poison, if you know what it dissolves........
a "copper" coin is gone in a week.
i don't drink it.
now i think of it, i have a collegue that is addicted to this stuff, if he doesn't get her shot in the morning she gets terrible headaches.
it's worse than poison.

Kayne, Pepsi twist isn't all that bad, BUT Diet Coke with Lemon tastes a lot better. More fresh IMO.

I believe Coke or Pepsi, or any for of this yummy beverage can corrode away a whole tooth in one night! Scary, huh?

Yes, Kaz, you're right.
We shouldn't be drinking any of those drinks at all. I know better, I just don't do what I know to do.
And I drink a lot of Diet Coke...even worse. :(

Sounds like some one's fixing to blow chunkypuffs!
Sorry I could not help myself...

All of you have known about Vanilla Coke all this time????
I only just found it at our grocery store yesterday!!!
My husband and I got two - one for each of us.
The first words out of his mouth were, "That's ODD!"
The first words out of mine were, "YUM!!!"
LOL I love cokes but only indulge once in awhile....
LL&BB,
:TWOR ~ Sky ~
PS. I love cherry cokes too! :*
Yes I have discovered emoticons :-)

My husband did this last night and it was yummy :)

I tried the new Vanilla Coke the other day, and have to say I'm not a big fan. Too sweet for me.
I also tried the Diet Coke with Lemon -- and didn't like that either! It tasted really chemically to me.
Guess I'll stick with water for now.....

I'll have to check the grocery store.
I started drinking vanilla cokes when I was in high school, and hung out at the local drugstore that had a soda fountain. A small coke was 5 cents. A small vanilla coke was 7 cents.
Denny's serves vanilla cokes if you ask them, and so do a lot of the pseudo-fifties diners.
To make one at home, take about half a teaspoon of vanilla extract and put it into your coke. Stir well, and drink.

I have no idea if I'll like it, but I'm open to the concept,
Love vanilla scent
(Yes- it works great as perfume, as many mass marketers discovered...'Vanilla Musk' etc.)
But what up wit the R-Girrrl an her way cool
image of Vanilla Ice dissolving in Coke?
Wat up if I drop him in Pepsi?
Yo! R-Girrl...
Im down for that.
Ice Ice Baby...let's steal someone's great top ten song with a
fantastic bass line
and talk a bunch of words to "da God-ess~"
I think it could be catchy

I finally got to buy some Vanilla Coke. Yummy!
But that doesn't surprise me, since I'd already been ordering Cokes with Vanilla flavoring at the Sonic drive-in. :P
Thankfully, the Vanilla Coke is infinitely better than the Lemon Coke...at least in my opinion. I thought I'd like Lemon Coke, but couldn't even finish one bottle. I threw the other one out. Yick!!! And that's very rare for me...I'm not a picky eater/drinker.
I love to squeeze fresh limes into my Cokes. :) Mmmm...

My two favorite flavors. Never thought of mixing the two. It tastes like cream soda but w/more coke in it! It's here in CT and we even had it in work for about a week but not for a while.

If it tastes like cream soda it ought to be amazing in an Ice cream soda with vanilla ice cream! It's hot here, hmm...maybe it's time to make a grocery run.......

I tried it when I took a trip to Seattle a few weeks ago, and I thought it was wretched (then of course a week later they started selling it in Canada). I agree with my philosophy teacher, she says it has a distinct taste like skunk.
If I want vanilla cola, I'll stick to Jones :).
