I'm on a dart league, and am getting ready to go play. I suck. I like to play, but I suck! No practice seems to help me at all. What are you good at? What do you like to play, but wish you were better at. I can play a mean game of pool, though. I definitely would have to say that I can brag about that. Love it when I beat a guy and he pouts and cries like a baby!!!

You and I have -got- to get together sometime and show them ol boys how us girls play. ;) I was on pool leagues in Montana until I got too big around pregnant to be able to bend over the table.
Used to break and train horses, too, so riding both English and western style are hobbies. Then there's all the usual stuff... knitting, crocheting, gardening, embroidery, cross stitch - pretty much anything artsy.

I love darts too, i must admitt I don't tell everyone.
I'm no good at it as my maths is rubbish. I know you can get a scoring thing. but I just get really into it when it's on TV. I feel soooooo sorry for the person that I'm supporting cries, but if I'm not supporting them and they cry I laugh like hell.

My hobby is scuba diving. Am I good at it? Well, I haven't drowned yet... :)
Because I was very insecure and even a little afraid when I just started (I wasn't too comfortable in the water) I kept on taking courses to get more experience. So I finally ended up becoming a scuba diving instructor AND getting rid of my fear and getting really comfortable in the water.
I'm told I'm a good instructor, I haven't lost any students yet... })

If chasing after 3 & 4 year old nephews is considered a sport then I'm pretty good at it. Otherwise I pretty much such at sports.
About the only sport that I really enjoy is bowling. I'm not that great at it - my average would be about 130 and my all time best is 177, which I did when I was 5 months pregnant. My belly was just about the size of the bowling ball... LOL.
Otherwise I also do the usualy stuff. Knitting, crocheting, and I can make quilts and I think I do really well at it.

My hobby is a very expensive but rewarding one! I've been in my band now for 6 years, we gig heaps, and we rock! But it's very hard here to get anywhere - not enough money around for bands... But I love just getting together with the guys and jammin' and playin' our songs! Our influences are The Cure, New Order, Magazine, Gary Numan etc - all early eighties/new romantic UK bands - I play the keyboards, so I look to these bands for inspiration! I'd say we're pretty good at it - we've never been boohed LOL and we have someone interested in distributing our music, if only we had enough $$$ to record anything! Depressing, but we're all still loving it and happy to play to the punters!!

jakyle and cricket, I wanna come with you!! My work schedual got changed so now I can't play in the pool tournies at work(I'm a bar-pre-tender) We had one last night and I ran it, WaWAAwa, but couldn't play. There are quite a few really good players in the area. I have beaten them all at least once or twice(some of them even more times)fair and square(not by default-scratch on the 8). I have only been playing pool for about 3 1/2 years. Vetran shooters ask me where I learned to play. I must have impressed them :) The thing we have over the guy players, we're girls and it scares them, they're guys and we are driven to beat them...they will find it hard to win that way.:) I used to do the horse thing like cricket, but now I'm training kids instead. aeonx, I'll do some Tequila shots with ya'
I love to do all crafty things. When I had the time I would create wonderful pieces of beaded jewelry, some set with semi-precious stones.
Rhiannon, OH GOSH YES ! IT WOULD BE SUCH THE EVENT
let's start having bake sales to fund the gathering!!!

We all meet at the bar where Lunalafey works. We'll have Lunalafey, cricket, and myself play against any 3 guys who challenge us.(as long as they haven't played on ESPN.)We'll have Nightwalker make our team shirts. Funkpuss has the important job of being our "SECRET WEAPON."We will use her for a distraction when the guys are shooting. When a guy is shooting well, she will subtly either bump into him,or accidently scream or giggle at a high pitch. Thus, making him miss the 8 ball. Aeonx will be in charge of passing out/taking orders of the Tequila shots and beer that will be on special. Maybe even bartend...bar back?
Slinky_Jo will have his/her band play, and Umbrae can jam with them, too. Jema can be in charge of the bake sale. I'm sure she could come up with some really good recipes involving chocolate.....(Rhiannon will keep track of all the money, because after she did my numerology chart,it proves that she "knows" her numbers.)
We could get more money to pay for the trip by raffling off tickets for free scuba lessons from Tarotlady_nl. Or,set up a kissing booth outside, and have Jema working her kissing technique.......LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Now, call me boring but... I enjoy games! Yeah... PC Games such as Age of Empires. (Malachite, I will send you back your Age : Promise! ;)) And I'm pretty good at it.
I also enjoy listening to music. I guess I'm good at that. And walking. I'm VERY good at that! Nice long, scenic walks by the riverside... Beautiful... Or down the beach at sunset... Even more beautiful...
Umbrae: Classical piano? My my, you are the multi-talented one, aren't you? My Father used to play piano in pubs back in the 'old days' in London... He used to get all the old jazz players and country singers playing with him too! (Lonnie Donegan, Acker Bilk, Chaz and Dave...) He doesn't play anymore though...
Oh, and I write! Not so much anymore due to other things, but I write poetry and articles. I shouldn't be the judge of whether or not I am gooda t it, but I wouldn't say I'm rubbish!

My real hobby is my drawings. I'm hoping to turn it into a job one day. I like to think I'm half decent for my age, but you can tell me:

I live in the woods on 66 arces of land, you could all come and stay for a week or so and we could build a fire and party! There is plenty of room to pitchup tents and there is a small pond about 50 or 60 feet from the house. There is even an old out house here. While you are here I could learn alot that there is no one to learn from here... sounds good to me, what cha think?
Oh I love to sing, very good at that.
dance=good
crafts, crotchet, knit,= ok
crosstitch=good
and I love the process of making babies=very good at that...(not an invitation just fact)
and I'm better at baking than cooking for some reason...
I love arts and am very good with chalk(guess that's just the kid in me) also pretty good with paint, but have to be in the mood for that.
Also love reading and writing...

I'm an amateur silversmith and fabricate silver jewelry. I especially like to make chains - it's sort of a zen thing. I also love beads and make earrings and knotted necklaces.
Basically it's my therapy :) at least it's cheaper than therapy and I get to wear lots of neat jewelry.

Sewing and crafts would be my biggest hobby. I'm really good at sewing. Pretty good at most other crafts I have tried. Just as long as I don't have to paint or draw!!!
The hobby my husband, son and I share is archery. We have a lot of fun with that and we are all pretty good. Even my daughters are starting to show interest and we are looking at getting them bows. My father-in-law got us all hooked on the sport so it is a real family activity for us.

Hi all,
I used to do a lot of knitting, crochet, and tatting. Arthritis is making this more difficult so I have had to slow down on the needlework. I also work on my family tree. I have one family line traced back to 1170 in England! This is my great grandmother Carey’s family. They are a bunch of knights and Castle Cary (as the name was once spelled) was their home in England. Legend has it that Queen Elizabeth I once visited Castle Cary and while she was there, she saw the Lady of the Lake. So Castle Cary is one of the possible locations of Camelot! (OK, so it is the least possible location, but it is still on the list! He, he, he.) Too cool! And I wonder why I always use the Arthurian Tarot for my eldest son!

What teenager does? I'm nearly 18 and I hardly ever clean my room... If I do its a grudging piling of paper and books into a neater pile on the floor and going over the gaps in the mess with a hoover... }) Its all just a cunning ploy to keep my parents out of my bedroom!

Hey, fairyface is back! Nice to see you again!
Do you really think we would believe that cleaning your room is a hobby - lol - ? There are many mothers on this forum you know! :D
My kid's room is so messy that it's a blessing to clean because the space that one can actually clean gets smaller and smaller every day, and sometimes there's only a tiny little passage from the door to his bed which he creates for me to give him his good-night kiss!

Cleaning? *looks over the nearly impassable whole of the house - except the kitchen* What's that? *L* With two toddlers in the house, cleaning is usually NOT an option. If it IS an option, they tend to come along and un-clean just as fast (if not faster!!) than things get picked up.
Any parent will understand. :D

I bead amulet purses and spiral rope chain (necklaces and bracelets). It's very time consuming. I Love to Shop! Does that count as a hobby? ;) unfortunately , I cannot afford that one. And I swim like a fish. I need to find a public pool in the area that I moved. But I'm on the internet much more than the other 3 hobbies SO I suppose the internet would count as my #1 hobby?! :D .

There is a new pool hall that one of my customers opened up and it was tournament night. 10 players.
I played 4 games, all wins. I was the only one out of the 4 players in the finals without a loss. The guy I played first, he made it to the finals because he did not have to play in two rounds, luck of the draw, odd man out. He beat me. drew him again, beat him. HA! then I had to play a kid I call lucky...down to the 8. his shot. I have 3 balls surrrounding the 8. there is about and inch of clearance, only thing he can do is squeeze through and put the 8 in the corner and hope he doesn't scratch, and he's got alot of green.
Mister Lucky deserved the $75 for just a shot like that. But I still walked away $25 richer and the talk of the town.

Are we still talking about hobbies? :D
I play the piano, and I like to think I'm good, though I would be much better if I got into the habit of practicing more than 30 minutes a day. Recently I've been playing a lot of Beethoven, though I'm going to start experiementing with some more modern music soon for this competition I'm entering...practice, practice, practice!!!
I'm also a hurdler. You know, those people who like to jump over obstructions on the track for fun. I love hurdling almost more than trying to kill myself while trying to break 70 in the 400m. And no, 70 isn't a good time. Any other track and field people here who know what I'm talking about?
I also like to write, though I'm just now starting seriously. I used to be part of a web community for writers/roleplayers, but...well it just wasn't working.
Let's see, can I think of any more?
...
No, apparently not.
Smiles,

I have several hobbies I consider myself fairly good at.
The first is photography, which I've been involved in since 12, so 21 years at it.
The second is poetry and writting erotica. Poetry I've been at for 15 or 16 years, erotica for 6 or so, I've been told I'm good at both but have been "blocked" for quite a bit now.
I enjoy music and am quite the mp3 collector.
I read and am one once I start have a hard time putting a book down.
I am interested in psychology and believe I have a pretty good "feel" for people.
I wish I could play chess. My boyfriend tried to teach me, but I didn't have the patience for it, being more a simpleton, I am better at checkers.
