Kiama's groaning over there has inspired me! ;)
One of my fave drinks is called a Red Headed Slut: Peach Schnapps, Jaegermeister (sp?) and Cranberry Juice. You do this as a shot NOT a drink (trust me!) They are so yummy!
Fuzzy Navels and Midori Sours are good too. I'm not a beer fan, but when I do drink it I prefer Sam Adams, Killians or Fosters.

.....pour me a shot of Taquila....O.J. back....
OH WAIT, I AM the bartender. Hornitos is good, stay away from the Cuervo. Have this stuff at work that comes in a ceramic bottle, has the Agave cactus as the handle and wraps around the bottle.
Neat looking thing...smells soooo smooth. Gonna try it tonight.
I'm not a really good speller, but being a bartender I should know how to sell(spell)
Jaegermeister, I think there is an 'F' in there.
I like fuzzy navels too. NO BEER. gin and tonic extra lime, sunrises. And I'm a winer, white zin usually.

Hmmm...I am a big fan of fine wines. I also like screw drivers(vodka and Orange juice), vodka in general, gin and tonic(with frech lime), woody's coolers(Woody's is a brand name here in Canada, they have lime and grapefruit coolers), Long island ice teas, rum and coke, dark rum, scotch, irish cream, coconut rum(especially mixed with blended fruit juices like orange, pineapple, and strawberry). Thats about it. I detest beer. I prefer hard liqior to brewed, but I love wine, all types, sweet, dry, white, red, blush.

Another non-beer drinker here. Actually, I don't really care for wine either. I just go for the hard liquor! :D
My absolute favorite is Bailey's Irish Cream, but I usually go for the Hard Lemonade-type bottled drinks when I go out. I also like a good vodka or rum drink, if I'm so inspired.
Cheers!
Peace,
Melvis

Pure Evil is my drink...an off branch of a white russian.
1 1/2 vodka
1/2 Baileys Cream
1/2 Kahlua
1/2 amaretto
with a dash of Pepis
Fill shaker halfway with Ice add the liquors then fill almost to the top with Whole milk, Shake then add the dash of Pepis...Yummm goood. ;) Then for shot's B52's and slippery nipples. Can only do beer when I'm in the right mood. But then the right mood anything goes..hehe The only wine I care for is the Ice Wine...and dang it's expensive...about 30-40 dollars for a small bottle and it's hard to find. Only made in Canada it seems?!? Not totally sure on that but that's all I've seen it come from.

Guess :D
Seriously, Vodka Gimlets are probably what I drink most often on the rare occaision when I'm out and "having a drink" - kind of my standby. In my younger years, I would try anything once. I used to hate beer, but have suddenly developed an occaisional liking for it. I do like wine, many different kinds, white and red. Right now my favorite type is Shiraz or Syrah.
Although, I can tell I'm old; aside from wine sometimes with dinner, most of the time I just drink water or diet pop. LOL.

AcidDragon: That sounds good! I will have to try that one...
I am a wine drinker most of the time. Red wine in Winter, white in summer. There is such a great range of locally produced wines that I just feel the need to sample them all!!! Melvis: I also enjoy Baileys :D
We have held some great 'Shooter Nights'! Everyone brings a bottle of something and we spend the night trying different shooters. :P Can get a bit blurry by the end of the night (You might wanna' stay away from this one for a while Kiama). One of my fav shooters is a C*ck-sucking Cowboy... Baileys, Peach Schnapps and wipped cream (what else???) on top! Mmm...

Ha! At the moment I am feeling decidely against alcohol! Although I must say I'm a sucker for cider... Strongbow! Yeehaa! (I can drink pints with the best of the blokes!)
Although I do take rather nicely to fresh orange juice, or a glass of Lambrusco Rose wine..

I don't drink that often, but when I do I enjoy a nice glass of wine. I'm living in the middle of New Yorks wine region so if I feel like I might want a bottle of wine I just have to hop in the car and I can be at any number of wineries in under 30 minutes.

Back in my drinking days, it was Tequila. Still
occasionally...like maybe once a year...I might
have a margarita on the rocks. Maybe. I don't
enjoy drinking as much as I used to and don't
miss it at all. Besides, with all the alcoholism
on one side of my family, it's better to steer
clear if I want to stay healthy. Besides, not
buying all that alcohol means I can afford more
Tarot decks! :D

My new fave is gin (sapphire)and tonic with a lime. Cosmopolitans make me do things I shouldn't ;) and beer just makes me feel bloated and hungry (especially on tap). But at heart, I'm a wino, especially Shiraz (but it makes my teeth purple!) And nothing beats a glass of Chardonnay with some brie and grapes on a summer day.
I used to love tequilla and still indulge in an up-no-salt 'Rita once in a while. I adore Mexican food and the tequila, limes, salsa, music is just so fun. But I've since re-named it "to-kill-ya....."

OMG! :D I just love the names of all those weird shot drinks! I can't wait to go out with my friends and order one of those with a straight face! I'll have to practice saying it at home though to get through it without laughing.
Wait a minute...how badly do you think I'd freak out my neighbors if they heard me saying over and over to myself, "I'll have a C**k-sucking Cowboy...I'll have a C**k-sucking Cowboy"? :D
And I'm going to remember that recipe for Pure Evil, Aciddragon...sounds divine!
Peace,
Melvis

Melvis..Best remember what in that shot too. The bartender don't know all the names to all the drinks. Plus some drinks are called different thing in different places. But I would be interested in what the bartenders facal expression is when you ask for it. Most will mixup something if you tell them what's in it and how much of it. Don't drink those Pure Evils too fast cause they are sneaky....hehe trust me I know ;)

january,
I liked gin, but gin never liked me. I could have one gin cocktail, and I'd have the worst hangover! I have no idea why, but it stopped me from drinking gin really quickly.
"to-kill-ya" ... very cute. ;) And you are right, tequilla is just perfect with Mexican food.

my favorite is
Pink Squirrel
2 oz. Amaretto or creme de noyaux
2 oz. white creme de cacao
2 oz. light cream

Another favorite
Alabama Slammer
1 1/2 oz. sloe gin
1 1/2 oz. Southern Comfort
1 1/2 oz. amaretto
1 1/2 oz. orange juice
Combine sloe gin, Southern Comfort,
amaretto and orange juice in a mixing glass
over ice. Shake or stir. Strain into a glass.

I forgot about margaritas! How could I? OK, anybody who has a Chili's restaurant nearby... next time you go order the Boneless Buffalo Wings and a Presidente Margarita! Woo Hoo! That's what I call lunch, baby!

I feel so tame commenting on my fav poison after all this talk of exotically & erotically name shots...but hey, I'm almost old and kind of an alcoholic purist.
I l*o*v*e Mike's Cranberry Lemonade - this might be a uniquely Canadian brand, I don't know. Basically, gin+cranberry juice+squeeze of lemon.
I also love sitting on my back deck witha G&T (gin & tonic).
Finally, I love crantinis - made with gin, of course.
Hmmmm.....noticing a common theme of gin laced drinks here.....:D

Well, to begin with, I brew my own beer and also make wine and mead from time to time. According to my buds who have tried it, my stout will beat a Guiness in any taste test (have to say that I agree with them, too), but if I don't have any on hand (or not yet ready for consumption), Guiness is my adult beverage of choice.
A good braggot or pyment is also good during the summer (for those times when a dark beer isn't what that palate yearns for). My straight meads haven't been as good as I would like, so I'm still experimenting with them.
As for commercially available drinks: Guiness, Foster's, and Harp fill out the beer category. Mixed drink: White Russian (although, I'm going to have to try "Pure Evil" now ;) ). Hard liquor: Scotch--I prefer single malts, but will drink pretty much of the good quality blends.
Oh...and BTW...for me, Scotch ALWAYS means "two or three fingers, neat!"

Not much of a drinker anymore but if I do have a drink it would be a wine cooler. I only drink beer if I want to pray to the porcelain gods.

*TEQUILA*
I've been drinking this stuff for the last ten months, every Friday and Saturday. (I do party way too much, I know that...)
However, the last few weeks I've begun drinking beer again, and it's really really good! Then I have a Baileys now and then. :D

Ok, I like wine (hey, I am born in a vine region!), especially "el gato negro" from Chile or an Aussie Shiraz. But I do not say no to a good bottle of Rosé from Southeastern France. I also like German wine but not all sorts.
I am not so fond of cocktails but I immediately fell in love with "sex on the beach" (I don't know the full list of what is in, I only remember vodka and a dash of grenadine).
Jaegermeister is spelled correctly in this way: Jägermeister (with an "s" in the middle although the "s" looks different and may be confounded with an "f") :P

Love an ice-cold can of beer. I rarely drink hard alcohol, but definitely a beer fan.....If you like girlie drinks, I recommend a scoop of lime sherbert ice cream, with a glass of champagne mixed with it. Or, 7up for the youngin's.....

My husband makes a homebrew stout known as Cat's Ass. this is an everything-but-the-kitchen-sink stout that has maple syrup, juniper berries and chocolate in it. I adore this stuff. he also makes a low alc(for homebrew) hoppy ale known as Mama Cat that has been my reward for abstaining during pregnancy. It is my second all time fave. and goddess does it taste good after a long hard labor!
Failing these, I drink Long Trail Ale, Saranac, Otter Creek, Magic Hat, and Catamount. I was a Rail City fan, but the last time I was in St Albans VT they were closed down :(
