Hi!
This weekend I bought a book called Alkemisten - The Alchemist in Swedish - by a Brazilian guy called Paulo Coelho. I would guess The Alchemist would be the English translation of the title, but if not, the Brazilian original title is "O Alquimista".
If you haven't read this book yet, go find yourself a copy immediately! It's a rather short story, and at least I got hold of a cheap copy ($4) - but it was the best $4 I've ever spent I think! ;) The story is simple, beautiful and natural - I just love it. Have almost finished it already, but this is one I'll be reading again and again, there's just loads to be found in this story!
Have any of you read any of Coelho's other books? Are they as good as this one?
Light and love,
Jenny :)

This book is indeed a masterpiece. Since you posted, I've been trying to find my copy, but it seems to have disappeared. Alchemy maybe?
I have read a couple of other of Coelho's books, but I didn't enjoy them as much as the Alchemist. He's a nice person. I've read a couple of his interviews, and he's not a smart-aleck or a nansy-pansy kind of person. Just a guy who seems to have interesting things to say and has found a way to make money out of saying them.
Now how can I go about doing that? :)
