How did you stumble across AT?

I was thinking about how I came to know AT this morning. I was just getting into tarot and decided to do a search for it on google, and I found AT....Then everyone lived happily ever after. How did you come across AT?

I came across it on either google or yahoo search looking for a site that showed sample cards of different decks. I used this site way before I decided to hit that forum link. My husband and I use to look at the tarot pictures with each other before we were married, me in Texas, him in North Carolina. Each of us copying and pasting links to each other. "ohhh look at this one!!" Internet love... ahhhh memories.... lol Lin

i'm a perpetual student, so i asked the universe to please send me a teacher. couple of days later i was googleing tarot and found aeclectic. took me a couple of weeks longer to actually start posting... but, even better than finding a forum FULL of teachers, was that i found dear and wonderful friends too!

I must have found it through Google as well, since that's the search engine I use most of the time. I didn't notice the forum right away though, at first I only used the site to look at decks.

I'm part of an online art thing. and a few of the members were discussing a mass collaboration to make a tarot deck. I googled it, found here. (Was attracted by all the pretty pictures!) and forums have a magnetic effect on me.

Three Cheers for Google, that's how I found it too! I was searching for links that would display the decks in full colour. I collect as well as read, and wanted to check out some I didn't have prior to purchase. I found AT, and I've been here ever since! I've had times that I've had to be away for a while, but I always come back. This is my favourite site on all the web.

I was doing a Google search to see if Peirs Anthony had done a tarot deck based on his book i was then reading and found this site.. Agree with 3 cheers for google!

well, it was a few years ago now...........but i did a search, i had been on the net just a few weeks, total newbie! i found this place, it was very quiet. a few posts and i just jumped right in, as i always do, and i loved the sharing. i've left for a brief period of time here and there, but i've always come back :D in light, jade

i found this place some time ago, but i didn't post much back then, but i guess i do belong to those who have been here the longest - right from the start of the boards. i found the aeclectic site through other tarot sites. this place is linked to from most every tarotsite there in on the net! it would have been strange had i NOT found this site;) i have to admit that it took me some time to actually read through all the pages here though. i just checked out the tarot-decks at first.

Well I knew of aeclectic for ages, Im sure a link was posted in Tarot-L or ComparitiveTarot a looong time ago, beofre I moved. After I moved I was too busy and dont think much of Tarot for awhile, then my uinterested was stirred again around December when it was mentioned on one of my other religious lists, I came back to see whats new, and found the forums. Started reading and found I had something I wanted to say, so I signed up and have been a blabbermouth ever since ;) Of course I also found out after I signed up there was a Lilianna on the board and people got us confused, but alas after the upgrade she disappeared, and never meailed me when I wrote her recently to see how she was. I miss her, hope shes ok. :THP

I had found the web site, using it mainly to view different decks and read the reviews, long before I noticed that there was also a forum. So I found the forum via the web site. I can't remember how I found the site; probably on someone's page of Tarot links.

i learned of AT thru a tarot group i was in. i signed up for solandia's newsletter. i checked out the decks when the newsletter came. then one day i got an email that i had signed up for the forums but had never gone there. at the time, i was a bit edgy about what do expect from different internet forums. i had had some distressing experiences at some forums for one reason or another. but i decided to check it out and ended up loving it here.

I found AT through a link at another site as well...can't remember which one though. I'm glad I did, because this place has been a WEALTH of information. I'm glad I've decided to "dip my feet" into the waters of posting. :) TTG

I just finished a tarot course and decided to search for some web sites for spread and deck information and looked at a few before this one, i basically wanted to find sites that would give me info on all aspects of the Tarot...and you wouldn't believe how EXCITED i was when i found this one, it's a whole lot more than i ever expected!!! I found AT ages ago, in September last year I think, but back then the stuff that was here was WAAAY too complicated for me, I couldn't relate to it one bit. So I stuck with what I came here for (surfed in from Google), pics from decks and reviews and stuff...! And then, after lurking around here for a while, and learning loads, in March this year I decided to join in. My boyfriend hasn't seen me since...! :D Jenny :)

Last summer I signed up for the first tarot class that was given at the Barnes & Noble website. A couple of the people in the class asked each other, "Don't I know you from Aeclectic?" Well, being really, brand-spankin'-new to tarot, I had to find out what Aeclectic was...so I popped on over. And here I am! :D Jimilyn

My memory isn't the greatest, but I think a friend forwarded an email she had gotten with links to images from several decks. At least one of the links was to Aeclectic. (it's either that or the everpresent google search) After spending hours looking through the decks I wandered over to the forums. I've only wandered away once, and I was wandering from most everything then. And now I'm back. :D napaisti
