How Do I figure Out What My Natural True Gift Is???

Hi,
I'm unsure how one goes about knowing what their true natural given gift is.
I've had visits from spirits several times in my life, I've had dreams come true, though I don't realise it til they occure. I performed the "What Is Your Magical Style" and it said I was psychic.
How do I know which is true? I'd like to have one to focus all my energy on.
Love and Light,
Kismet

i think we all have more than one natural true gift. it's difficult to see what we're really good at often b/c we are too close to see or have too poor self worth to recognize our talents. whatever you are doing now in this moment whether it's working and raising children or being an artist or whatever--that is your gift. it's your spirituality. it's who you are. i used to think things like i had some kind of special destiny but i've since decided that i was arrogant to think that. we all have special destinies. we are all part of the web of life. just b/c you aren't well known doesn't mean your skills and talents aren't important. it takes a lot of nails to build a house and you need them all for the structure to stay secure. what i have found is every closed doors means another one has opened. every experience leads to knowledge of new skills.

That is what I love about the Tarot.

It is a great place to begin for most people. The more you work with it, the more doors it opens.

Some folks find their path sooner than others. Some find that their path lies in other directions.

The more you work with Tarot (with an open mind), the more Tarot works with you.

It [the tarot] will not help you, more than you help yourself.

what sense do you use when you close your eyes ?

1. pyshic eye is a person who sees images when they think of soemthing
2. psychic hearing they hear it .. like it being described.
3. pychic feeling i don't have much experience. ah they feel peaceful. excited, fear when they picture soemthing and they get why it is caused.
4. psychic smell smells certians smells at certain times.
(smell a person and think to themselves they just went through this or that )
i know nothing abou that sense eheh my nose dont' work much
5. psychic knowing. .. it is closely related to the pshcic hearing and vison.. it is more like just know can't explain it just know it.

now what are you ?
in your dream what you do see..
or hear.
or feel
or smell
or know ?

me i dream in colors , vivid movies dreams when i dream . and a big story.
hard to explain.

1. focus on the top of the head crown charka for spiritual knowling,,
2. forehead for vision
3. area above ears for hearing
4. will center , diapham area for feeling,, go for gut feeling
5. smell , i dont' know
they all make up the sixth sense.. if you use that world
but in truth they all make up our natural abilitiy to percieve, use, energy.

there is many paths, healing, tarot divineship, reiki, i ching,
channeling,
leader, follower, advisor, supporter
writer, actor, worker.
these are all differnt levels.

the path of self discovery is one you shall have to walk yourself :O) it is your learning path..
i started mine on the tarot, then i went psychic books i could find while staing away from spirituality til i had a dream that said my psychic powers are nothing then i got into spirituality like channeling, angels, healing.
and who knows where i will go :O)
you could get into course of miracles, wicca, buddahsim, channeling, bible study (could happen), edgar crayce. herbsology, reflexology, massage, innerchild work, counseling.
basically my freind we can give options and such but we can't tell you what your gifts are . i can only tell you this..
follow your own true guidance .. not your mind that says you shoudl this and that.
but your feeling that says this is your path or not
your first step or not and you will deep down wether you are ready or not for a first step.
and remember this.
what we do may seem out of order to someone, ie. i read inuitivitly before i learn the book meanings, or i read with only reversals before i learned the upright meanings to the tarot.
for examples yet for us it will be true and so right.

One cold winter morning a young woman walks five miles through the snow. She knocks at the Jademaster's door. The Jademaster answers with a broom in his hand.
"Yes?"
"I want to learn about Jade."
"Very well then, come in out of the cold."
They sit by the fire sipping hot green tea. The Jademaster presses a green stone deeply into the young woman's hand and begins to talk about tree frogs. After a few minutes, the young woman interrupts.
"Excuse me, I'm here to learn about Jade, not tree frogs."
The Jademaster takes the stone and tells the young woman to go home and return in a week. The following week the young woman returns. The Jademaster presses another green stone into the young woman's hand and continues the story. Again, the young woman interrupts. Again, the Jademaster sends her home. Weeks pass. The young woman interrupts less and less. The young woman also learns to brew the hot greet tea, clean up the kitchen and sweep the floors. Spring comes.
One day the young woman observes, "The stone I hold is not genuine Jade".

I lean back in my chair, savoring the story. My student interrupts.
"OK. OK. That's a great story, but I don't see what it has to do with divination, or finding my spiritual self!
I came here to learn about Tarot and Runes. I want to learn about reversals, spreads, self-discovery, and spiritual growth! You tell me a fable about Jade, what is this, you…"
"That's all for now, leave that deck of cards on the table. I will see you next week."

Months pass, my student interrupts less and less, as I unfold the story of "Between the Cards".

Great story Umbrae! :D

And you are right in your first post.
The love for Tarot made me search for sites online. And find AT. And meet people so different. And meet Paganism. And Wicca... Well, I am walking. I can't say I am a Wiccan for the little orthodozy of my practice... But I am walking... :)

Kismet- from reading your other posts, you are doing much of what alot of us do, reading books. To me that is a great path.

I would suggest you always keep reading comparitive books in religion, new age, magic, philosophy, tarot and any other darn thing that you are interested in. Never get just one book about a suject, try to find the opposing points and non biased points of view to keep it balanced.

Read the obviously horrible books so that you can recognize it in practice, and appreciate the good books more. There are bound to be some subject that will really inspire you to look further or put it into practice.

I think I have found my gift in being a sort of Historian, nothing mystical about it I guess, but it suits me fine.
