If Hollywood did a biopic of your life, who'd play you?

The phenomenum known as Big Brother has just finished in the UK - if you don't know what it is, you'd better p-m me, 'cos it would take too long to explain here! I watched the final night and they had a clip from a chat-show on the same TV channel where one of the housemates was impersonated by Dustin Hoffman - he was pretty cool, really, doing a Geordie accent and throwing in the odd swear-word. It got me thinking, so here's the question - if Hollywood made a movie of your life, which actor/actress would you like to see playing you?
I'd give the role of me to Sigourney Weaver, I guess, although the film's producers might think that Roseanne Barr was more appropriate! ;) Maybe I'd settle for Kathy Bates now, and someone like Charisma Carpenter to do my teenage years.
So, fellow Aeclecticans, who'd you pick for your biopic?

I know what Big Brother is, it all started in the Netherlands, something I'm not exactly proud of... :( We do have decent tv programmes here too, honestly!! ;)
Back to the question: Cate Blanchett or Susan Sarandon would be wonderful, although I doubt whether they would think the part interesting enough... But then this was a hypothetical question. ;)
And for the older me (we're talking science fiction here now ;) ) I'd choose Judi Dench or Maggie Smith.

i think the #1 choice would be meg ryan when i'm in my queen of cups mood. #2 sigourney weaver when things aren't going so well--queen of swords. #3 i also like marina sirtis(counselor deanna troi-STNG)--high priestess.

Tracey Ullman. No question. Or Janeanne Garafolo.

Years back people used to tell me I looked a little bit like Sharon Stone - I was so skinny back then, I was all cheekbones...! Personally I never liked her, or rather the stuff she does - there has never been a movie she made that I liked... So it won't be her... hmm... who then...?
Cate Blanchett would work for me too, and she's got the cheekbones in place too (it's just me who gotta get hold of mine again...! ;):D;)), and she's such a great actress! Sorry Tarotlady, for nicking your pick too - I guess Cate'll just have to do both of us! :D

Is it possible to use "Daria" for a cartoon version of my life?
She looks like me, She sounds like me, She dresses like me, though I am about a decade older than her character.
If you are not familiar with the show here's a link:

John Goodman... though he'd have to grow a full beard (no fakin' it John!).
He's funny, intelligent, sings way better than me and loves music. Plus I think he'd look great in a robe with lantern and staff.
Perfect fit :D

Yes, I've seen Daria - good show.
I hadn't thought about a cartoon version! :D If you've ever seen the comic Strangers in Paradise by Terry Moore, I am Francine (although my boyfriend keeps reminding me that I'm about ten years older than the character! sob!). I've never met the comic's creator, yet he manages to draw all of my facial expressions with uncanny accuracy! Spooky!

I have a nickname at the bar, Wednesday. Everyone associates me with her, Christina Ricci. I would not choose her because there is another that I feel is more 'realistic' and that is Nia Peeples.
Nia has done some big screen rolls (North Shore, 80's surf movie and more reciently, Blues Brothers 2000-she's the girl cop) Nia is not a very well known actress and that adds to the image of being another person. If I had say, Sandra Bullock (love her) play me, then everyone would see.... Sandra. With Nia, they would see me.

People have told me I bear a resemblance to Meg Ryan, although personally, I don't see it. And any *good* actress can play "me" - it would be far more entertaining to see some actor, like Matthew McConnough (sp) in drag play me. LOL.
But seriously, I think I would choose Robin...oh geez - her last name escapes me - she played the princess in "The Princess Bride" and Jenny in "Forest Gump"and is married to Sean Penn....I have no idea why I would choose her. She's blonde, I'm blonde, she's obscure, I'm obscure....

YOUR'RE RIGHT! I intended to mention that.
She has not changed too much, and nor have I.
btw Blues Brothers 2000 is a cute movie. I recomend it.
tarotlady, If you have seen the movie, remember the girl main character? Nia took her place in the series. I am horrid with names so that info I cannot give.

It would have to be Sandra Bullock, her character in the first "Speed" movie" is me to a tee, (except for the bus driving..:) )
and as for the older me it would have to be Bette Midler cause you never lose your'e sense of humour:) !!!
(BTW it has been said (when i was alot younger) that i looked like Madonna as a brunete, but as for her acting" forget it", and when i am tired or drunk, they say i look like a female version of John English for those of you who know who he is.LOL)
Cheers

well, it's not like hollywood is overflowing with short and fat red-heads.
but one i always admired a lot is Dianne Wiest, most known for her woody allen movies and her rolse in practical magic.
i think she is just as confused as i can be, she is talented as an actress and she has a captivating face, not really beautiful - but interesting.

I can't really think of anyone I'd like to play me at this stage in my life.
Janeane Garofalo is great, but as cynical as I am, I'm still not up to her level (and I'm too quiet for her to play).
If it were a future me, Stockard Channing, definitely.
Sorry, Hollywood just doesn't have many short, dumpy, freckle-faced brunettes :) and that makes the decision a lot harder.

Hmmm there are not many actresses with curly hair. And i mean really curly hair.
Maybe the girl who plays "Felicity" back in the days she had long curly hair just like mine.
Or the dutch "actress" katja Schuurman...but no i would not like here to play me ;)

Here's a link, there were loads of hits for Nia Peeples on Google:
http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Boulevard/5829/ (The site loads in about a 100 years, but it had a lot of pics, hopefully you'll recognize her by one of them!)

I choose Nia over Sandra and Christina, BUT
I sure can drive a bus!!!!It was my rolling home, all 30 feet of it!! heehee, even drove it better than the boys!!!(or maybe that was because my bus was a hot rod!)

That would be me....and darn it I cant remember her name either, it was something uncommon and I think it involved an 'S'...visiting site...
though in playing me she'd have to leave the make up and hairspray in the drawer.....OH... Nichole, boy was I off.

Valerie Bertinelli. You may remember her from One Day at a Time, or her many TV movies. From the moment that show came out, and all through her career, I have gotten comments about how much I resemble her - I've never been able to decide if that was a good thing or a bad thing, LOL. (I hear that she's on Touched by an Angel now, but I have never seen that show, either with or without her.) Of course, at the moment, I am a bit larger than she is :D So, a quite chubby Valerie B.

I'd have to go with Janeanne Garafolo as well :D. Although she looks nothing like me, I have an attitude compared to hers (meaning her stand up work) a lot of the time. I don't know whether that's a good thing or not ;).

I've had this conversation with friends before, and have never been able to come up with a good answer to "Who would play me in the movie."
Some have suggested Demi Moore -- perhaps because I'm a brunette with strong features and had a buzz hair cut at the same time she did GI Jane. But I don't feel I look much like her, and the attitude doesn't line up either.
Hmmmm..... maybe people who don't know me would have a better answer? LOL

Who wants to be realistic when it comes to Hollywood! I'd ask Greta Garbo to play me (but she's dead, which makes it difficult).

I hadn't thought about her. One of my nicknames in high school was Magenta (long story ;) ). Oh well, it seems that I can't have an original idea for this thread, so I'll just have to wait my turn for the actor's schedules to free up.

Hmmmm..... maybe people who don't know me would have a better answer? LOL L.R is unique! :D
I sometimes think Angelica Huston - not in looks, so much but maybe your younger, fiestier attitude. Maybe Angelina Jolie - except when she's being flakey (although motherhood and divorcing billybob seems to have matured her).
Going back further, I'd say...Audrey Hepburn. YEA! That's it! Audrey!
L.R is one of those calm, puddy-cat types of Leo's...except when she's really passionate about something. Then - Look Out for the Leo!!

For myself, probably Matt Damon as a boy, Russell Crow as an adult, Harrison Ford as an elder. Only based on a VERY VAGUE physical likeness. *LOL*
EDITED TO ADD: What is the name of the actor in Cruel Intentions??? Maybe he's better than Matt Damon... :P
EDITED TO ADD AGAIN: The www.imdb.com says it is Ryan Phillippe... UFF IT WAS TAKEN ALREADY! :(
Matt Damon will do...
