Pet psychic

I watched a rather interesting show this evening on channel APL called Pet Psychic. At first I thought the lady was a crackpot, but then suprisingly, when she was talking to the pet owners of pets that had passed I was moved to tears.

So, what do you all think that have watched it/heard of her...for real or fake?

move over miss cleo! you're animal pyschic alter-ego is comin' to town! (hope this says what i think: FAKE!)

I don't really know if the Pet Psychic is real but I certainly hope so... if she is then there's hope that I can talk to my pets one day:) It'd be nice to know what they are thinking.

I've read some books by various pet psychics, they seem plausible but I'd want to see before I would truly believe.

i know that i have worked with alot of pets. when i first got my reiki i only worked on pets.

i had one client who's cat was upset because they put a box in her favorite sleeping spot (the closet on their shoes) and her cat didn't want to go on trips with her anymore. the woman agreed to let her stay at home and she passed away, in her favorite spot, at home (instead of at the boyfriends house) with her owner petting and loving her.

her owner was soooo happy that she was able to grant her beautiful cat her last wishes. (14 years old)

so it's no more 'crack pot' than a tarot reader.

in light,
jade

ps although, i haven't seen the show you are speaking of.

You can communicate with animals, I do that all the time. I mean real conversations, not just you talking to the animal; although the word "communication" doesn't mean that words are involved... it's more pictures, emotions and meaning. So I have no doubt that the animal's soul will still exist after its physical death.

I also believe that it's possible to have contact to the souls of the deceased, because it has happened in my family, both with humans and pets. I couldn't do this with persons or pets that don't belong to our family, though.

If I weren't doing Tarot readings for complete strangers over the internet, I probably wouldn't believe that you can have access to accurate information that doesn't concern you, but someone you've never met before. But since I know from my Tarot experience that it is possible, there's no reason why it shouldn't be possible that someone who is gifted that way can communicate with the deceased relatives or pets of someone else. So, I do believe that there are psychics that can do what this woman claims to do.

So I'd say yes, yes, yes and maybe - since I haven't seen the show, I don't know if this particular woman is faking the contacts or not. I would judge her for the kind of information she gives - are there specific details that only the pet owner can know? Or is it just a general "I love you, I'm fine" message? Does she appear to give only "general sensations" until the owner confirms a tiny detail, on which she then elaborates on and on? If you wnat to determine if someone is a fake or not, don't let yourself get carried away with emotions, even (or especially) when it's a subject you feel very strongly about. Watch and listen very carefully, because the *good* scams to this very quickly, andvery skillfully.

Thanks for sharing your story.

How did you start communicating with animals? I've read a book on it and tried with our family's pet cat but it hasn't worked so far.

Do you know if it works with birds (not pet birds but natural birds)? I'm guessing it would be harder than communicating with my cat but my cat is currently living with my dad and I can't have a pet at my apartment so the neighborhood finches and mockingbirds are my next option.

How about plants? I've heard of some people communicating with plants...

I always talked with animals the same way I talk with humans - my mother always did that, so it was natural for me. Only when our cats and dogs reacted to words that they - according to "scientific" books - "were actually unable to understand", we realized that they understand us the same way we understand what other people say. I remember one evening when I told my cat to "stop fooling around and finally sit down on the couch"; I was watching tv and said it rather absent-mindedly, without special emphasis or "code words". He reacted instantly, and I was fascinated.

Our dogs trained us to listen what they have to say. I mean it when I say "train": they stare at you for long minutes, "sending" the message LOL and sometimes I say "listen, I'm really dense today, can you just show me?" Sometimes they get up immediately and show me what they want (and usually it's something I thought I "heard", but was so unsure of myself that I didn't believe it... tells me I should trust my ability more), but sometimes they insist that I pay attention .

Now I do this with all animals, not just my pets, and find that they understand just as well. I have to talk, though, I can't do this silently, and sometimes I fear that people think I'm crazy when I talk to te cat I meet in the streets... well, I don't care what they think, actually. I automatically say "hello", and "bye" and "oh, sorry", when I trip over them...

You can do this with all animals, birds, fish, even insects. We have poultry, they understand just as well. The trick is to stop thinking that they don't understand every word. They may not understand the *word* itself, but they do understand the meaning, the information that forms in your head *before* you put it into words. That's why you communicate instantly that way, much faster than with words.

As to plants, I can't, but my mother can. So it's possible, I just don't have that emotional connection to them that she has.

Thank you for so a quick reply tigerlily. I'm going to keep trying, I think my high level of doubt (mostly concerning myself--not concerning the animals) is what is interferring the most. You've inspired me :) (I'm a wee bit jealous of you though because you've always been able to do it).

Btw, if you want to why don't you stop by the chat room, I'm in there all by myself.

I saw her once...she was telling the owner of a parot that she thought they had a gay parot...I think she's fake...just my opinion though. I don't beleive there are any gay animals. She may be psychic, but I for one don't beleive she's a pet mind reader...that's all part of the hype, don't beleive it!

I've seen this show ONCE, and had to turn away from it after about 10 min. To me she was really annoying and said things that any pet owner probably knows.... like "your dog misses your exboyfriend" or "what happened to that "very decriptive phrase inserted here" toy?" Granted, she picks up on things that normally no one else would know, but most of it seemed to be useless. Again, I only watched 10 minutes of it. I'm sure there were lots of helpful information given... show just probably started off VERY slow.

Actually it's quite common among animals... guinea pigs, many birds, even fruit flies ... and there are still people who think that homosexuality is "unnatural" ;)
