Anyone seen this movie yet?!

I went to see it last night and liked it. Would have liked to see more dragons, but they didn't exactly skimp either. The special effects were wonderfully realistic on the dragons, and a little bit unrealisitic with their fire blowing (imo)

There's a bit of us/european rivalry. Matthew looks GREAT!!!! Give me a man with a body like that any day, tats included.

I throughly reccomend it for dragon lovers.

I just saw it tonight...I thought it was gonna suck, but it was pretty good. Sooo true about mathew, body and tats...so damn sexy.

Yall should check it out. It's a good movie

Blessings,

I'm kind of curious about seeing it, but it looks like it's more of an action movie disguised as a fantasy. Maybe it was just the previews though.

This is a very good action/monster movie. They play it absolutely straight, no campiness. Pretty well perfect for its type in my opinion.

Nope, and after seeing the trailer I decided totally against it - maybe I should reconsider...?

It's just that I got the impression the Dragons here are portrayed as monsters only, and after the Dragon-debate we had here a couple of weeks/months ago I was under the impression that Dragons (at least some of them) are spiritual and GOOD creatures. So is this really a movie for dragon LOVERS? I mean, isn't the aim of the movie to kill them all...?

I'm just curious...! :)

(What are "tats"...?)

Jenny :)

McConaughey; and "tats" I'm assuming are tattoos. An added bonus is that Christian Bale is also in this movie... ;)

uummm, the dragons in this movie are just creatures. Not good or evil, though they do tend to kill everything in sight because they are hungry. Definitely not spiritual. Very impressive dragons I might add. Very.

TRIBAL tatoos that follow the curves of his muscles. They're lovely.

I recommend it for Dragon lovers due to the special effects. They are portrayed as nominally intelligent beasts. They are not benevolent and loving creatures, no. But they are so realistic that they're simply wonderful. They do get killed a lot and stuff though, that's true.

I really love the explination they gave as to where the dragons went for so long, and all the why's of their being etc. The one thing they didn't explain was how there came to be more than one after the male was released. They did say 'they' went into hybernation, but they never showed where the others were at or how they were awaken.

I'd really like to read this story in a book. The character devolpement was a bit poor, and I would like to explore how the main characters came to be buddy buddy a bit better.

The dragons were worth seeing and overall, I enjoyed the movie. It got a little formuliac in spots, was very much in the action genre... but kept my interest the whole way through even though I'm more of a drama/tear-jerker fan.

It was a very interesting movie but I can't help but saying it's like Jurrasic Park and Planet of the Apes combined.

This was suppose to be a reply to the Reign of Fire forum and somehow I ended up pressing new thead instead of post reply! *UGH* how embarassing... So sorry everyone!

Faerie Lin  22 Jul 2002
I want to see this movie!! grrrrrrr (I don't get out much!)

PS, Don't be embarrassed! I am always messing up my edits, I am sure people wonder why I sometimes have 2 posts right after one another... I tend to hit quote instead of edit... then I have to edit my last post so it won't show me quoting myself.... lol
