Do you believe in aliens?

Just wondering whether you believe in aliens. I don't believe in aliens the way they are portrayed in Hollywood films. But I can't believe that in the whole universe there are no other live forms except us, so I do think there's more out there. I just don't know what... ;)

I believe that the universe is too big and vast for us to be the only sentient species with opposable thumbs. But as for what is or isn't real regarding alien-human contact, I don't know and don't worry about it much. If the greys want me to believe in them, I'm sure they can come visit. :P Laurel

Aliens - according to the UK (and I think US) customs and immigaration these are people with foreign passports. Do I believe in them - no I believe in humanity. On life on other planets, yes there is a high probability that it exists but also the probability of meeting a being from another world is extremely low. But I would love to do it. I just hope that they don't ask for their horoscope to be interpreted! Minderwiz

The posibillity is so probable that I'll be the one on the top of the mountain when this planet is in it's final turmoil, yelling out..."come get me...take me with you!.. get me outta here!" The Native Americans speak of our reletives from the sky. There are petroglyphs in N. America that suggest 'visitors' from outerspace. There have been things I have read in the bible, and since I see things so symbolically, it came to me, Gee, that sounds like it could be describing a spaceship...chariot of fire from the sky??? I dunno, what do you think? With out technological knowlege and vocabulary, how would you explain a extraterrestrial visitor? And then there are people I see, and for years(long before MIB) I think, they are from another planet, only half serious, but you never know. suggested reading 'Waiting for the Galactic Bus'

Maybe we are the aliens???? I think it's pretty shallow to think we are the only ones in this Universe and especially to think that we are the supreme beings. The way that 'Hollywood' (movies) portrays mankind to be in sci-fi movies is that we are always the ones who 'save' the world or the universe. What a laugh that is :D If that would be the case, then why do we all have guides and guardian angels? Other beings who teach us obviously have a higher awareness than we do now, otherwise why would they bother? So yes I do believe in aliens, seeing that it's only a discription of a word for something that we are not familiar with. The thing that really gets me going is....are there other dimensions?? (I believe there happen to be many). But hey that's another thread altogether ;-)

I believe in aliens AND other dimensions (I believe it is possible in rare cases to reincarnate on an alien world or in another dimension, I and my husband have but people think we are nuts when we say it lol) WHether or not aliens have contacted us, I have no idea and dont care one way or the other as long as they arent going to blow us up. :) Id love to talk t one, by now they have to have enough info not to need to stick metal instruments in unmentionable parts lol. But they probably have better things to do than talk to me :) :THP

I do believe they're out there, but I don't believe they'd think like us, communicate like us, or even be bilateraly semmetrical. I don't even think we'd be able to concieve what aliens would be like, because the human experience doesn't cover much outside the oxygen-breathing, legs, lungs, fin and feather tyes of things.

What I'm most afraid of is that if they do visit, the first words out of their mouths will be... "Beam me up Scottie... there's no intelligent life down here!" And if the Klingons ever show up... we will be in deeeep s**t

I believe in other worlds, other life forms and that (hopefully) someday we on Earth will have proof that they exist - even if they are just microbes, or an exotic worm :D Of course, intelligent aliens would be much more interesting.

Back in 1986/87 I was on my way home from work, it was about 9:30/10:00 pm and I was traveling north on Hwy 63. I had been on the road by myself for some time, no one in front or back for many miles. The state was having Hwy 98 from Mobile, Alabama to Hattiesburg, Mississippi redone and had routed it thru the woods just out of Lucedale, Mississippi. The road was only red dirt 4 lane at the time. When I got to the cross roads of 63 & 98. There was a very bright light coming from Mobile going towards Hattiesburg (East to West). I stopped my car before crossing the dirt part because I thought that this was a plane fixing to crash. And I did not want in it's line of projection. As it got closer it was not going slow at all and it was not a plane or helicopter of any kind. (Dad was in the Army and we went on post and bases all the time and he would show us the aircrafts, I've also riden in many different types of planes and helocopters and this was not an aircraft that I was familer with at all.) There was no motor sound to this craft. It was flying under radar. When it got in front of me there were many different, I would suppose lights or port holes (?). There were no wings. It passed by fast, and as it went West the light in the back turned all the colors of heat and rainbows until turning white as it got farther away. I was listening to my radio before, while driving. I had to recrank my car to go on home. I tell the honest truth! Was this an aircraft? Yes Was it OURS? hmmmmm Well the only way someone could convince me that it was from this earth, would be to show one to me!

Just kidding. I am not sure about the green men with huge black eyes, but I believe that there is something out there, and we are yet to find it. There are lots of different ideas.
