Yesterday I visited Glastonbury for the second time in my life, and left my heartthere et again... I thought I'd re-captre it for good, put then I left it at the Chalice Well, and I doubt I'll ever find it again. ;)
It was beautiful day, really sunny, but we had an early start. Me and Simon Boyf) had to be at teh train station at 7:00am, and we travveld until 9:30am, when we reached Glastonbury... Met Malachite at the train station, and got to the main town centre aroun 10:15. Fiest things first...
TAROT SHOPPING! There are far too many good decks to be found in Glastonbury, and I ended up buying 9, one of whch was the OOP Kalvala, which I was very pleased with...
Then we climbed allthe way up the Tor, which was.... Exhausting, to say the least! We had to stop about 3 times on the way up to catch breath, even though we're all young and fit! But once up there, it was worth it... The view is amazing... You really can see fr miles, because it's all flatlands around there.... Absolutely stunning. I could've stayed there all day, cuz you lie down on the grass there, and you really can feel the Earth vibrating and moving... It's amazing, and you can understand why the hill was a sacred monument...
After that, we made our way down the Tor (Easiertan going up!) and visited the Chalice Well... I LOVE the Chalice Well! We drank from it, paddled in it, and hung offerings on the trees that surrounded it, and were healed by it... (Not in the actual Spring mind you!) There were different sections of the Chalice Well, the top one being the actual Spring, where we hung the offerings... The one below that is where you can drink from it... Its the point at which the water comes from the ground after running through ferrous rock, giving it a high iron content and red-tinge. I collected a whole bottle of it and took it back home. The next part is th healig waterfall, and then there was the healing pool, where you can sit in/lie in/stand in... But the water was freezing! After about 2 minutes in there I couldn't feel my feet at all! But it was refreshing and I felt really good afterwards...
All in all, it was a good day. I really enoyed myself, and want to go back there NOW!

Thanks Kiama ! I'd love to visit the site myself, someday. I can just imagine tracing the ley lines to the various sites. What are the decks that you purchased?

Well, you know we'll all go there together in a year or so... Try to be patient, my dear friend :* :* :*
This post really made me jealous, and itchy for the trip! I can't wait to see those places myself, and see them with you. It sounds all so... amazing!
By the time I'll get there I promise I'll learn all I can about those places and the legends connected. And I hope that that day will be as good as the one you had yesterday.
Looking forward to it :*

Ah yes, the Chalice well. My friend went to Glastonbury on her honeymoon and brought me back some water from the chalice well.
I still have the plastic bottle she smuggled it back to Canada in. *I* swear it still smells like the water, but hubs doesn't belive me....
Edited to say: P.S. I broke down and ordered the Glastonbury Tarot last night....
