If you could be any animal in the world, what would you be and why? I'd be a black panther. It's graceful... alert... and cunning! Such magnificent cat! What about you? :)

That one's easy ;): I'd be a shark. I'd be able to explore the underwater world, moving around with ease and grace, using their special senses to find my way around.

I'd love to be an ordinary house cat. With a good loving home. I think they have it all. Nice warm sunlight, good people to sleep with, and plenty of love and affection when they want it.

A squirrel in one of those large public attrction places, so that I get fed goodies constantly even tho people arent supposed to feed me ;) They are so cute and furry, and climbing trees would be great. I especially ,like the black squirrels in Cananda :THP

house kitty in my familys home. yep, these cats are spoiled with love and care and are free to go out or be indoors. healthy and well groomed but not too fuzzed over. or for my second choice: perhaps an elephant. they are wise and get to be really old and they do have some fun too:)

A house dog. I know pretty boring, but think about this: You get fed, you get bathed, and you have someone to pet you and play with you. All you have to do is sleep and make sure you don't eat any of your owner's prized possessions.

A hawk. flying is nice. and with all the prarie dogs there'd never be a food shortage. you'd be able to go practically anywhere. (well, not underwater. lol)

I would like to be a cat, if I could find myself a silly owner like I am myself. My name suggests I'm into wolves, well i find them fascinating but I would not want to be one. In a pack only the alpha female is allowed to have cubs, if another female gets them they are killed by the others. Also I could not fight for my position all the time, I would probably choose to be a loner.

Oh, the joys of being a nice house cat... comfy sun spots, people to pet me, bird feeders to stalk and, of course, tarot cards to sleep on. :) Close in line behind a cat would be a River Otter. I just love them. :D Cat

When I read the start of this thread I thought, "Black panthers are great, but I would like to have it a little more pampered. Plus I'm not fearsome enough to be a panther." Then I heard my 2 kitties (both black) go tearing through the house (again) and knew that I would love to be a house cat. I kept reading, and wouldn't you know -- that's the most common answer by a long shot. I love Royal Cat's sig, it is so true (at least in my house and my parents'). napaisti

I'd be a changeling or a shapeshifter. Yes, I know, this is not really an animal, but there are so many I'd like to be, for different reasons, it just seemed easier to decide to be a shapeshifter so I could change according to what I needed to do! My choices, off the top of my head are: wolf raven eagle cat - wild or tame, large or small rabbit dolphin ladybug

Hmm, well my favourite animals are: Wolf Raven Leopard Any one of those I don't think I'd mind too much. Ever since I was a kid I've been obsessed with all three.

different advantages with different critters, Hmm, I would want to be several things. I like the idea of being a horse. Having ridden for many years, one kinda gets an idea of what it's like. --bareback on the beach, hugging your mount with almost every inch of your body, moving together as one, feeling the power and strength under you, wind wizzing past as you gallop full speed along the waves edge, salt water splashing, hair flying.

Besides what poetlove said, I also like and relate to their additudes, playful one moment, then "touch me not", or "I'm above it all" the next moment. Cats to me are just the ultimate. :)

First choice would probably be a raven, which is my guardian animal. They are incredibly smart and magical, and i think flying would be incredible. being an otter would be awesome too. they are so freaking adorable, and have so much fun swimming, diving, chasing each other... and they hold hands while they swim on their backs! what more could i ask for!!!???

dolphin would be my choice:) To swim in the oceans ( I just love to swim in the ocean) and be a playful 'teamplayer' to help mankind ;) No doubt about it I would love to be a dolphin. Mara
