in what order do you visit aeclectic?

where do you go first, second etc when you visit AT? i start off in the moddie section....then to pm's and then to chat, then divination and then i get to visit in spirituality and some of the tarot sections. most days though i run out of time before i get to really get into the tarot sections. in light, jade AND do you read from the top or the bottom? do you use the yellow arrows to get to the first unread post or do you get inside and then click on the words "go to first unread post"?

I see my PMs first if I have any. And write replys if necessary. After this, I quickly look at the Moddys section. Then check the new contributions via the View New Posts option. When I am done with the active threads (usually it takes a while, and this way I have read everything new in each section), I then go the Reading Exchange, for a further check of the posts. Then, If I have the time, I check the index of each section, and if there's nothing I missed or nothing interesting in the inactive threads of the day, I go... This routine generally never gets to the end, and in the process I flood people with PMs, and often I start chatting with Liliana, Rhiannon, Holmes and others in the Aeclectic Tarot Chat Room.

I'm a newbie here, so I haven't found a good way to surf the forum yet. But I get e-mails whenever it's a new post on a thread I subscribe to. Sometimes I'm just occupied with reading them, but when it's quiet I surf the forums or write a new thread myself. I love this forum, but sometimes it just get too much for me. It's so much info! Then I meditate to get the right energy back. And I take myself a break from the computer....a break that I find very necessary. Maybe I shall get some routines too, to avoid the overwhelming amount of information and the following chaos in my head :)

I always hit the 'View New Posts" link at the top right of the opening forum page to see what threads have been active. It shows me right away if any threads I'm interested in have any new posts on them. Of course, sometimes you can miss some of the posts made if it has been a little while since the thread was written to, but otherwise, it is my most favorite way to keep up with the forum.

Ditto - the only problem is that I don't think Solandia's announcements come up as part of this - eg the recent one about "subs" to AT (which I'm going to do as soon as I get back from my overseas trip), which I would have missed altogether if someone hadn't started a thread about it. I don't have as much time as I used to so I don't do a general browse round anymore.

i check my pm's first, then view new threads. i first scan for the ones i've already posted on (with the dots). then i read from the bottom last page up, so i don't miss any new posts. when i'm done, if i have time. i then go to individual forums. first checking the rune study group, then divination, spirituality, talking tarot, using tarot cards, astrology and so on. i read the yellow boxes first, and use the go to first unread post.

well, i always check the tarot deck forum first and then the rest of the tarot sections except the reading forums (i hardly ever have time for those) then the general and marsielle forums in the study groups and finally the chat stuff if i have time left. but i often forget about the new posts link. so thanks for the reminding:) PMs i get mostly when i am trading so it is rather quiet there now. i promised myself not to trade anything until this fall (and already broke it)

1) Check out subscribed threads by the notification e-mails or (sometimes that doesn't work) I check out the User Control Board for PM's etc. 2) New posts 3) Using Tarot cards-forum 4) Talking Tarot-forum 5) Chat 6) All other! Generally, naturally this varies with what kind of mood I'm in and what I have on my mind that particular day! Jenny :)

[list=1] [*] PM's [*] moddie section [*] study forums [*] the section called forum [*] trading [*] non tarot [*] tarot [/list=1] so i read from bottom to top, always the same, and i use the little yellow arrows. and the forum jump which is somewhere down at the pages. section i don't always read is reading exchange, trades in us/canada, new members, tech support. i read all threads with yellow arrows, so i almost read the whole forum, that's why i don't post much (and i have a very slow connection in my new house :( ), no time left for that. kaz

When I first joined I always started at the Astrology forum then I changed and began to start with subscribed threads. Now I go to the 'view new posts' first, or work my way down from top to bottom. Minderwiz

I usually just start from the top - Tarot Forum (go into threads with new messges) Non-Tarot Trading Forum then just work my way down, going into threads that interest me just to make sure I don't miss anything - so I usually spend anything from 1/2 hour to 2 hours on here :) I also check to see if any new decks or reviews have been added.

I go in this order, and find I deviate very little: 1. Chat 2. Citizen Chat 3. Sprituality 4. Divination 5. Astrology 6. Tarot section, straight down the line I don't use the "last unread post" option - I usually just click on the last page I left off on. I realize now I am a creature of habit!

I go to: PMs Reading Exchange Your readings Faeries Study Group Citizen Chat Chat New Members and from there wherever the notion takes me. A lot depends on how much time I have.

I read my PM's firt, then go to the oddie section, then I work my way up, unless I am conerned about what may be happening in Spirituality. Usually, the members here are so nice to each other that I have no need to doubt that Spirituality will be peaceful as usual but sometimes I do get some worries... Kiama

I hit that fabulous "View New Posts" button, too, as soon as I get into the Forum. I always start from the last page, though, because it takes me so darn long to read them all. That way, I can always catch up to the most recent posts made by the time I reach Page #1. Peace, Melvis :TSTRE

amyel, I share a similar pattern as you :) I visit all chat areas first, chat, citizen chat, subscribers chat. Then I go to either Divination or Spirituality depending on my mood. Then I go to Readings. Pm's if any. Then I go to chat and before I know it I have to get up or go to bed... I have made it to the Spirituality and Divination and check out the Tarot Trades(while drooling) There's just not enough time to go everywhere I'd like to... One day I'll change it all around. You know how fish are...LOL!

I go to my PMs first, then I go to the Moderator's Section. After that, I go to the forums I moderate, first Tarot Books, and as of yesterday, the chat section. I then start at the top and work my way down the list ;)
