Has anyone seen this one?
I plan to see it on Sunday but only when it is as good as the "Interview with a Vampire" movie. Any comments about it?

really disappointing. very different from the book, as well as the first movie. and there were a lot of characters missing...

I've heard it's very disappointing if you like the book, so I'm not going to watch it.
Besides, I don't think anyone can play Lestat better than Tom Cruise did in Interview with the Vampire. In fact, I think most of the cast in IwtV was perfectly chosen, except for Antonio Banderas as Armand.
I'd love to see the Mayfair Witches series made into a film...

I still haven't read the Queen of the Damned as I am still into "The Vampire Lestat". maybe I'll spent Sunday at the movies and later I will get the book.

Hi Catlin!
If you haven't read the book yet, I would definitely see the movie before you do. I read the book first, and was disappointed because of the natural tendency for comparison. If you see the movie first, you probably will like it, and reading the book will actually make the story clearer!

Of all the books in the Vampire Chronicles, this book was my least favorite, so I did not go to see the movie. It didn't stay long in the theatres here - I don't think it was well received.

As a vampire movie in its own right, it wasn't -that- bad.
As "Queen of the Damned".. it was awful. LOL.

Still haven't seen it, but I heard it was awful compared to the book. Agree with tarotlady.
I also agree with Amyel to a point, I liked parts of this book (story of the twins) but not all (all the rock star crap was annoying, who calls themself "tough cookie"?).
I will probably see it just so I can get pissed off about something legitimately. ;)
