No, not your pizza.
What would you like to see on your headstone?
From the movie Jaws ...
Here Lies The Body of Mary Mcree
Died At The Age of 103
For 15 Years She Kept Her Virginity
Not a Bad Record For This Vicinity
Here's one ...
I Told You I was Sick
Another ...
Here Lies Ezekial Aikle
Age 102
The Good Die Young
One more ...
Bonnie Anderson
I Don't Want To Talk About It Now
Another ....
Here lies the body
Of Margaret Bent
She kicked up her heels
And away she went.
Another ...
Here lies the body of Martha Dias,
Who was always uneasy, and not over pious;
She lived to the age of three score and ten,
And gave that to the worms she refused to the men.
One more ...
Sacred to the memory of Anthony Drake
Who died for peace and quietness sake;
His wife was constantly scolding and scoffin;
So he sought for repose in a twelve-dollar coffin

"She saved the world. Alot."
Actually, I don't want a tombstone. I want to be cremated and have my ashes scattered somewhere beautiful and personal by my hubby (assuming he outlives me).

PS- I actually want an apple tree planted where my ashes are scattered... But that's not the point!

Hi all,
I don't want an elaborate stone at the cemetary..I'm not there anyway..lol Stick my body in a cheep box and plant in the ground..I have no use for it now anyway.
I really want a BIG statue of a woman with wings (a faery type thing)put in the back yard of the house I owned that has a plaque that reads..something along the lines of:
"When you look upon this statue know that I am here with you. Watching over all who live and love in this home." (this way only people of the light who are not spooked by the thought will live there)
I don't want anyone at the cemetary..just plant a tree in your back yard to remember me by..this way you will have a reminder of me to look upon every day.
corny,
Cj

That's so great!
When I was a kid we raised Redbone hounds and when one of them passed, we did the much the same, except grandmother planted rose bushes over them. I went back to the old farm a few years ago and they're all still there, guarding the yard, just as they did in life. To this day I always smile when I see a nice rose bush and think of long summer days running in the woods with my friends.

i would love to turn my remains into an energy vortex where people came to meditate and do readings and stuff! what fun that would be.
~~~
i don't want a headstone, just cremation and to be remembered in the hearts of those that love(d) me.
in light,
jade
My favorite one, and I'm sure I have the man's name wrong, is
"Here lies John Smith, he done his damndest."
I always thought that was was just honest and down to earth.
has anyone of you watched the "casper the friendly ghost" cartoon series. i'm referring to the more recent one, the one that came after the movie. anyways, in the closing theme, they feature a cemetery, and the inscriptions in the tombstones there are wacky! just can't remember, though.
Have you been to a Tarot-a-Holics meeting YET???
I have no plans for a tombstone, burn me up and put me in the river..
But if I did have one it'd say this:
We bury Love,
Forgetfulness grows over it like grass:
That is the thing to weep for, not the dead.
If I were a hypochondriac, it would have been:
What did I say!
But I think I would preferred this:
Here lies a soul unknown to the world.
He might have been God...
I hadn't ever thought of something witty to put on my headstone. Humm...now you have me thinking.
How bout "She was a great Mother, fabulous daughter, wonderful friend, passable sibling, and terrible wife",hehe.
Love and Light,
