I get an e-zine called "How Much Joy Can You Stand". So I thought I would put the question to YOU and see what kind of genius, humour and creativity comes out of this?

debins: Before I answer this question, what do you mean by "Stand"? Do you mean "Stand upright", or "Stand upside-down"?

...and one can subscribe and get newsletters and suggestions about incorporating creativity into one's life. There are suggestions about how to get out of a rut, etc. at

I like the title and the first article I came across suggested that we, ourselves, limit the amount of joy we experience because we fail to imagine more.

I could stand at least one moment of *pure joy* every day for the rest of my life. :D

I cannot answer that for I have not ever reached a level of joy that was intolerable.

...and is designed to make the reader reflect on the fact that each of us perpetually creates our own life with our own thought forms, that we are ultimately responsible for our own joy. So, the concept is that "I" feel I have no joy in my life then I ought to "get crackin' ", so to speak.
Namaste,
debins.

A little joy a day would be wonderful.
For me joy can be something like a hug from someone you love or seeing a spectaculat sunset or otherwise enjoying random acts of nature.
LOL a while back I ran across a goose walking serenely across our offices parking lot.
God must've been in a happy/humorous mood. :D It looked so surreal... goose looked like he belonged there somehow...

I think I would have no problem with joy every day, maybe my surroundings would. I notice I'm sometimes walking around smiling with no real reason at all and people find this very strange. It can just be a nice autumn sun, a blooming geranium or a cat washing itself. But it bewilders my neighbours this can give me joy :D

Debins, after I post here, I am going to go to the website and check it out. But first, not surprisingly, I find that Dark Electric has once again beat me to what I wanted to say (wah!) LOL.
Seriously, I would like to experience more joy. I've been told by people more then once to "lighten up" (hard for my Cappy nature), but I also think "joy" comes in many forms - it doesn't have to be that overwhelming, overbubbling freedom *all* the time! Sometimes quiet, simple joys are good, too.
But it's agood question, debins, and the theory you posted - that we are all responsible for our own joy - is thought provoking to me....
